BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — On Sunday, 38-year-old Holly Crayhay went out of this world in the same way I envision Jaded will; in a hail of bullets at the end of a police chase.
Police had tried pulling Crayhay over after she was noticed driving erratically. She stopped for them once, only to pull away. Police eventually did a PIT maneuver, pinning her car against a guardrail.
That’s when Crayhay pulled out a firearm and began shooting at officers. No police were hit, but they returned fire. Crayhay was hit as was a pit bull that had jumped out of her car and charged towards them. The dog was killed at the scene, Crayhay would die later at the hospital.
“It’s unfortunate, but you know, you can’t shoot at the police without having them shoot back at you,” said Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer.
Reading through some of the comments left on a couple news articles, Crayhay had quite the criminal history, and going by her Facebook postings, some mental issues as well. She posted a pic of her gun on Sept 12 along with a series of nonsensical, semi-coherent posts about her and God being combined.
