Woman Charged With Murder After Cutting Baby From Pregnant WomanMILWAUKEE, WI – A woman in Milwaukee has been arrested and accused of cutting the baby out of a pregnant woman, killing them both.

Annette Morales-Rodriguez, 33, called 911 saying she’d just given birth to a baby in her living room and that the baby wasn’t breathing. When officers arrived they found the full-term baby boy dead. Both Rodriguez and her dead son were taken to the hospital.

An autopsy was performed on the baby on Friday, the deputy medical examiner revealing the baby had not been born naturally as the uterus was still attached to the baby as were parts of ovaries. His findings were that the infant had been cut out by force and died because his mother had died.

Since Rodriguez was very much alive, having walked out of the hospital after refusing to be examined, police brought her back for a medical exam, which would show she’d not given birth, and then to the police station for an interview. It’s then they would learn the horrifying, sickening truth about the dead baby and the fate of the baby’s real mother.

Rodriguez explained that her boyfriend was desperate for a son, but that she was unable to have children. So she lied and told him she was pregnant. Since that was impossible and it was time to produce a baby or admit the truth, she hatched a gruesome plan to obtain a baby of her own. On Oct 6, she went driving around looking for a pregnant woman and happened upon 23-year-old Maritza Ramirez-Cruz, who was 38 to 42 weeks pregnant.

Rodriguez asked Cruz if she needed a ride, which Cruz accepted. She took Cruz to Walgreen’s then stopped at her own home under the guise of needing to change shoes. Cruz went inside as as well so she could use the restroom. I could gloss over what happened next, but I think people should know exactly what kind of monster Rodriguez is and the terror Cruz, a married mother of three other children, experienced. The following comes directly from the criminal complaint, and be warned, it’s disturbing stuff.

“When Maritza Ramirez-Cruz came out of the bathroom the defendant hit Maritza RamirezCruz several times in the head with a baseball bat. Maritza fell against the wall and fled into the bathroom. The defendant Annette Morales-Rodriguez followed her into the bathroom and pulled Maritza Ramirez-Cruz out of the bathroom. Maritza ran into the living room and Annette Morales Rodriguez picked up the bat again and hit Maritza a third time in the head. This broke Maritza’s glasses and Maritza fell down and struck her head on a table.

The defendant Annette Morales Rodriguez then straddled Maritza Ramirez-Cruz, who was on her back. Annette Morales-Rodriguez, using her right hand squeezed Ramirez-Cruz’s throat. Ramirez-Cruz fought back and Annette Morales-Rodriguez restrained both of Maritza RamirezCruz’s hands by kneeling on them. Annette Morales-Rodriguez, using both of her hands, squeezed Maritza Ramirez-Cruz around the throat until she was no longer conscious.

Annette Morales-Rodriguez retrieved duct tape from her room, using it to bind Maritza Ramirez-Cruz’s hands and feet, as well as placing pieces of the tape over her mouth and nose. She then placed a plastic bag over Ramirez-Cruz’s head, because blood was coming out of her mouth and nose.

Annette Morales Rodriguez then dragged Maritza Ramirez-Cruz to the hallway by the bathroom. She then took an Exacto knife and cut Maritza Ramirez-Cruz’s abdomen. She cut Maritza at the bikini line attempting to duplicate the process she had seen on the Discovery Channel, depicting a cesarean section birth.

Annette Morales Rodriguez stated she cut her fingers while cutting the baby out of Maritza Ramirez-Cruz, and showed the detectives the cuts on her hands. When Annette Morales Rodriguez cut open Maritza the amniotic fluid came out of Maritza’s stomach, and when Annette Morales Rodriguez took the baby out of the stomach the baby was not breathing.

Annette Morales Rodriguez then cut the placenta out. Annette Morales Rodriguez then dragged Maritza Ramirez-Cruz into the basement and concealed her body by the hot water heater.”

She then called 911 about her unexpected delivery. Using this info, police went back to Rodriguez’s home and found Cruz’s body in the basement. Rodriguez has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide while armed and first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child while armed. If she’s convicted, she will face two mandatory life sentences.

Cruz’s stepmother said that Cruz, her husband and three children had moved from Puerto Rico to Milwaukee last November in hopes of building a better life.

      Well there have been numerous cases of the baby being cut out in even worse conditions with worse tools and the baby live. The mistake this woman made was that she killed the mother before cutting out the baby. In the other cases, the pregnant woman was alive when the baby was cut out.

      I found an entire set of brand new baby stuff (used once). Stroller, changing table, high chair, closet, clothes and a bunch of other things. I was afraid to go get them. I was also afraid the baby they intended them for died and didn’t want “risky” furniture. I’m still sad about missing that win. It was totally free on freecycle, but I was afraid of being gutted like a fish.

      How is it that these people that do this (for some reason it’s usually women who do this type of bestial crime) sometimes have had babies of their own & they can’t process the thought of having someone else do THIS to them?

      When I used to take the bus in Puerto Rico, it would be crammed as hell & no one would give the pregnant woman a seat. Apparently gentlemen died when women burned their bras. No one would give their seat to a mom with a baby.

      I did. I do. I gave them my seat & if they couldn’t get a spot to sit an older sibling, I would too. I would also carry their stuff until they got off the bus.

      I still offer rides to women with babies that were in MY church to their house, especially if the weather is nasty.

      My husband and I are having trouble conceiving and just last night we discussed adopting children. We both decided that if we’re going to adopt, we’re going to try and adopt children who are in foster care, no matter how old they are. Most people want babies or very young children, so we know the older kids have a harder time being adopted. It makes me sad because ALL children deserve love, not just babies. We don’t care how old they are or if they’re white, black, Hispanic, or Asian. We just want to open our hearts and home and give a few children who will probably be in foster care until they’re 18 a chance to have a real, loving family. Their parents may not have wanted them, but we sure do, and we’ll love them as if they were our own flesh and blood children.

      I understand wanting a child,.. wanting to be a mother. I know several ladies who can not conceive. I see the hurt they go through, but, this woman had a family. If she and her children were not enough for her boyfriend then so be it. What she did to solve her problem though, is unfair to so many people in so many ways.

      She didn’t just victimize one family, she victimized her own children and family as well. Do I feel sorry for the cold hearted bitch? No. But I do feel for each one of the children who no longer have their mothers because of her cruelty and inability to face the truth that some men, just aren’t worth keeping if it means having to go to such extremes to keep them.

      The medical examiner has stated that the baby died because the mother died. Rodriguez, if she knew it or not, killed Cruz before she tried cutting out her baby.

      Before my ex-husband and I got married, we took a few months “break” where he got involved with not only 1, but 2 younger (like barely legal) girls…..I didn’t find out about it until after we had got back together and was too close to the situation to see it for what it was.  Now looking back, I’m sure he was involved with them before our break………..anyways…….. They were both effing crazy and stalked ME when he cut off contact with them….. they would email/call me and tell me how much they “loved” him and how bad it hurt to be dumped by him.  They would follow me wherever I drove, would show up at our house crying……really scary stuff.   I was stupid and in love and was too competitive to throw away 3 years of a relationship and a future that we had planned.   I found out I was pregnant about a year after we got married and got a “friend request” on myspace from one of the crazies the same week…. I was so terrified that one or both of them would show up at my door with some scissors and try to cut my baby out!!  I was borderline paranoid about it and the further along I got in my pregnancy, the more worried I became!  I was for sure that they were going to cut out my baby and try to pass it off as their own child with my husband!  My ex thought I was the crazy one no matter how many stories I showed him about this stuff happening!!  Luckily, the crazies never showed up to steal my baby, I finally figured out the truth that my (now) ex was a cheating piece of crap that would never change and we got divorced, and I have a perfectly healthy and happy 3 year old!!

      One weird aspect of this is how coldly calculated this was. She has to find another Puerto Rican female giving birth in roughly the same time frame.
      I find it almost fate that she found her in a doctors office and gave her a ride which ended up badly.

      You are right, it’s not about wanting a baby. In one case i remember they featured on snapped, the murderer was obsessed with being pregnant and all the attention she got before. (She had several kids, but not one yet with the new guy-if memory serves, she’d had a hysterectomy). So after 8 months of faking her pregnancy, she hatched her plan so she wouldn’t have to be embarrassed at being found to be a fraud. Shamfeful and sickening.

      This is pure evil. How the hell can you manage to cut into a bulging tummy? urgh. No amount of insults and curses and swearing will express the disgust and horror i feel towards this thing.

I wouldn’t be able to actually cut her but i’d relish in her screams and take comfort in the fact that she’d become what she is – masses of fats and meat.

      When I was about 10 years old this lady in NM impersonated a nurse at a local hospital, kidnapped a near term pergnant woman, drove her out to the other side of the Sandia and cut the baby out using a key.  The baby lived, mother died.  Bitch went to prison and is hopefully tortured daily.

       I think that this case is still the most horrific thing I have ever heard.

      Like some people have said before me…it’s never about the baby…they could give a fuck about the baby…it’s about getting what they want out of having one, be it the attention or keeping a man…that’s truly twisted that this monster could beat this woman to death and rip a baby from her womb…and you know, even if that child had survived and this sicko chick and other monsters like her did get away with these disgusting baby stealing crimes, you just know the child would have a miserable life, it would just be an accessory…and as soon as it stops being useful, it’s disposable…

      I read alot of these types of stories of sick bitches like this slicing babies out of other women…..but this one story is just too effin brutal!!!!
