CONCORD, N.C. — Some patrons inside a North Carolina Lowe’s were treated to a gruesome spectacle yesterday afternoon when a man shot his wife, a Lowe’s employee, then turned the gun on himself.

Witnesses state 31-year-old Por Ye Lor came into the store and got into an argument with his wife, 25-year-old Vivian Xiong, who worked as a cashier.

Lor eventually pulled out a gun and shot Xiong to death before using it to commit suicide.

Police say there were dozens of employees and customers inside the store at the time, but that no one else was injured.

Lor’s brother told reporters he last talked to his brother earlier that day and nothing seemed wrong. He also said both his brother and sister-in-law were from Laos and had three children.

Grief counselors are expected to be at the store today for any employees who need help dealing with what happened to Xiong, a six-year employee of the store.

So he left his three kids parentless? No reason could possibly justify what he did, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was probably something stupid. On a side note, good heavens please don’t let me be killed at work. If someone is going to murder me let it be on a beach while relaxing with a book.

  • Damn it sucks that she couldn’t even go to work with him trying to “control” her in this way. I tend to believe that is exactly what doing something like this is about. Trying to “control” someone else. Which I imagine was a reoccuring theme in this relationship prior.

  • Yeah whatever the reason, I am sure it sucked.

“Clean up, aisle four. Clean up, aisle four!”

This is “Wong” in so many ways.

I wonder if Lowes had the correct chemicals to clean up the mess.

At what point in the argument does one think “I know, I’ll show them who’s boss.”  Also, I think that those who commit suicide afterwards are just too chicken shit to face the punishment for their actions.

More then likely illusions. He thought of her as his property. Sad that these children have neither parent now because of this controlling prick.

I am also thinking that the broom and dustpan is also not going to work in this case. Wait if saw dust is placed over top first, that might make it a little easier.

  • Most definitely NOT the type of DIY Lowe’s endorses.

A similar thing just happened to my favorite checker at Albertsons. Her husband disemboweled her right on checkstand 5. Unfortunately he didn’t kill himself afterwards. It was horribly brutal! They still haven’t reopened her checkstand.

There is nothing that irritates me more in these “murder- suicide” cases than the bleeding- heart family members who strum up shit like “They’ll be together in Heaven forever, etc etc.” It seems like it was a great big “Fuck you, bitch, I’ll teach you to talk back to me,” rather than “Let’s travel time and space together for eternity puke puke.”
Those poor bloody children, what a legacy they’ve been left with.

  • Lor?

Damn violent Hmong people. Seriously though, though, I’d hate to be shopping during that, my project would then have tainted memories.

He should have killed himself first.

Hey I have been in this Lowes being this is my home town.  I blame Nafta for all the imports.

  • Por Ye Lor- I told you not to bet on Jimmy Johnson to win Nascar Championship number six. . . No, you didn’t listen you stupid bitch — so take this – –  Oh wait, there are nine more races to the chase — Fuck me. . . – At this time, Por Ye Lor kills himself.

We’re going to paint the garage this coming weekend. Maybe I should show this to my husband & he’ll think before he asks for my help painting the lower part of the garage, so he doesn’t have to crouch or be on his knees.

The grocery store that I go to has one cashiere that I hate. The old woman (you can tell cause the others are teenagers & young mothers). She takes FOREVER to ring through things, PLUS the old people always go through her till & they always have to fill out checks or swipe their cards more than 3 times & they take forever to sign the receipts.

I may have a cartload full of groceries but I’ll wait at any other till than to go through her cause I know it’ll take like 10 mins for me to go through plus the other 10mins or ringing the person in front of me with 5 items.

HOWEVER … it (suicide) *does* save societies a lot of taxpayer money for a meaningless trial – especially after the shooter is eye-witnessed by several and is still allowed to plead “not guilty”. In this case, the dead guy was also caught on store video cameras whipping out a gun and blasting his wife.

Yet … he would still have been allowed to plead “not guilty” and drag things out with a trial, jail time, etc.

He did the wrong thing – ZERO questions! – by doing what he did and the way he did it. At least he did the right thing by punching his own ticket!

Way to find the silver lining…? 😛

  • No. The right thing would have been plain ol’ suicide. Or ya know, therapy maybe.

Fuckin rookies. (not you. the murder-suicide douchebags)

“The name of the victim was withheld, pending notification of family.

Police say the woman’s estranged husband, 52-year-old Kelvin Green, has been detained as a person of interest.”

Huh? Do they think her family doesn’t know her husband’s name??

  • Morbid,

This was actually in Kannapolis…it is just Concords police jurisdiction (Its right on the line).

This is about 5 miles from the middle school coach choke out incident.

Fortunately, Lowe’s has an ample supply and affordable price-ranged selection of wet/dry shop vacs…
