Teen Accused Of Stabbing Great Grandmother To Death With SwordDouglasville, GA — A 14-year-old boy armed with a sword and a BB gun has been apprehended for killing his 77-year-old great-grandmother and wounding his grandmother.

According to reports, deputies responding to a call arrived to the family home shortly after 5 p.m. Monday. The teen was reportedly standing in the doorway while his great-grandmother lay dead in the front yard from sword wounds.

The teen was reported to have shot at police – taking out a few windows in their cruisers. Deputies responded with a concussion grenade, a police dog, and – after convincing the boy to come outside – a dead-on taser shot. Deputies 1 – boy 0.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Major Tommy Wheeler said he has since been placed in the custody of authorities.

Authorities were quoted as saying that they were called to the home twice before in recent months in regard to the boy. Both times the boy was hospitalized for evaluation and released.

“We were called out there again in July,” Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller said. “We had to hog-tie him. When we took him to the hospital they evaluated him and then released him.”

There has been no word yet on his planned release date after this latest incident…

Is it true the suspect was screaming ‘There can be only one!’ during the incident?

Thanks for making coffee shoot out of my nose so early in the morning.

…and here I was questioning whether or not that was even remotely funny.

grandma and great-grandma?! He’s a different brand of evil. Sure, mothers I can stomach but killing grandmothers are just plain WRONG.

“Deputies 1 – boy 0″ <== That made me chuckle.

Umm TWICE the kid was taken to the loony bin & they released him.

    3 things:

    1. FIRE THE PSYCHOLOGISTS. The dude needed help & ya’ll kept letting him out. This one’s on ALL OF YOU.

    2. REALLY? Great-grandma!? You might as well kill yourself now. & BTW you’re no NINJA since you didn’t take out a fast moving target. Grandmas are slow, great-grandma’s are almost innanimate.

    3.  If the psychologists are good ones & they released him, the dude must be a psychopath/sociopath in other to fool the docs.

I agree; it’s a shame he had to kill someone before he was considered a serious threat.

Or they could have given him medication, which he neglected to take. That’s all-too common.

Way to evaluate him at the hospital quacks.  If competent doctors would have recommended getting this kid some help this might have been prevented.

This happens too many times. The psychologist/psychiatrist ask a few standard questions, and thats it’s.I doubt if they even ask the familys take on this.Of course dangerous people are going to lie when they don’t want to be put in a mental hospital. They should stop talking to just the patients and talk to others the patent knows for cripe sakes. What? 3 times this kid was hauled away due to his mental state. Give me a fucking break, it’s not an overnigjt fix or a wound you can just put a bandaid on.

Medicines take awhile to take affect.Months sometimes.if he refused to take his meds, that should be another reason to keep him locked up.Iam sure it’s not easy on the family to have someone like this who is dangerous, uncoroprative. and psych doctors are not much help either. He is a minor and you can’t unfortunately just kick him to the curb, no matter how tempting.

    Dead-on PERFECT.  *smooches*

Very true about skipping meds.  Which is why they need to create medication implants (inserted under the skin) to continuously dose non-compliant patients.  They do it with hormones and birth control – like Depo Prevera – so maybe it’s time to expand the market and make something like Demento Prevento injectables.

They do have long-lasting depot meds (anti-pyschotics) that can be given every 2 to 4 weeks.  The problem is getting the whacky jackie that doesn’t feel he/she needs meds into the office to get the shot.

Well better yet if it is a drug or alcohol problem, they dry them up and ship them out. After all that is self-inflicted right, there is no possibility whatsoever that this would be a troubled youth self-medicating —nah impossible—unheard of—no money—no help!

House calls with a bigger sword, perhaps?

I want to know what the fuck the previous psychological evaluations findings were. Why did the boy have access to a BB gun and a sword? How did none of the neighbors notice the murder/attempted murder as they occurred?

Last, but not least, where was the boy’s mother?

I, too, am curious about what the other psych tests concluded.  Also, forget about “who let this kid have a sword”, who the fuck really has a SWORD in their house?  I know someone out there might have one laying around, but it doesn’t seem like something that really has a place in a household.  Did grandma and great-grandma live together?  Was it their house?  If so, the sword is even weirder.  Anyway, I think I’ve become desensitized.  I’m just not shocked for some reason…

I have several swords that I use for brush clearing on the back 40, they work just like a slingblade, mhm.
This kid is either completely bonkers, or has massive cajones – I mean, who tries to hold back LE with a BB/pellet gun?

Kid: “Stop right there, or I’ll shoot your eye out!”
Popo: “Oh noes! Put your kevlar on boys, he’s got a Red Ryder, call HRT for back up!”

It sucks that he had to kill a defenseless old lady. I am very curious about what conclusion was reached when he went “hog tied” to wherever he was evaluated and then released? If anything at all?  And was he living with these ladies? Where are his parents? I am stoned so maybe I missed those answers? Anyway….what was I talking about again? :)
Anyway at 14 he surely knows that what he was doing was permanent. I have to think there are some serious family dynamics going on here. And release date???? HUH? Is there going to be no trial? He not only killed someone but shot at the po-po…I heard they didn’t like that.

“Both times the boy was hospitalized for evaluation and released.” This is typical when the person involved has no insurance.Health care sucks ass … all big business  seems to care about is making more money, and how much will a particular issue cost them.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

Of course.  We wouldn’t have to tax people nearly so much and we wouldn’t need social programs to help out the less fortunate if the more fortunate actually gave a rat’s ass about anybody but themselves and their money.  Human nature is to look out for Number One, though, so I can hardly blame them for following their instincts.
