Hey, I’m all for Big Brother watching pedos on P2P networks… keeps them too busy to notice the covert signals I’ve been sending Google Earth via a complicated grass mowing pattern…

What scares me is the idea of pedos getting organized and lobbying to overturn child porno laws.  Not likely, but it seems like their numbers keep growing.

Seems the paedos are either creepy gross old men or clean shaven trying to be good looking, even child like young guys so that they won’t scare the kiddos BEFORE turning into their real monster selves.

I am thinking there are a boatload of pedophiles on Manhattan who are shitting bricks wondering if they are next. I also don’t know why the authorities are so shocked about the organization of the porn… these guys are criminals, not necessarily complete idiots.

I am not sure that Lewis Carroll was a pedophile. “Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Saw There” is a political work and was, by parents who didn’t read the book, made a cutesy kiddy thing because it had rabbits, a little girl, and tea (soft sigh).

I can’t wait until the law enforcement in my area takes up the flag and charges the pedos in my city!

Sometimes, but often these operations are so big that all of the children in the images can not possibly be identified or found because there are so many. It is also difficult in the cases where the operation stretches so far in between states, and even coutries. There is just no way to identify and find all of them.

I am no expert (or fan) of Lewis Carroll and I am not sure where you got your information. I did a quick look at Wikipedia’s article (not always the best source) and there was mention of pedophilia and Lewis Carroll as a myth.

In more detail, Lebailly has endeavoured to set Dodgson’s child-photography within the “Victorian Child Cult”, which perceived child-nudity as essentially an expression of innocence. Lebailly claims that studies of child nudes were mainstream and fashionable in Dodgson’s time and that most photographers, including Oscar Gustave Rejlander and Julia Margaret Cameron, made them as a matter of course. Lebailly continues that child nudes even appeared on Victorian Christmas cards, implying a very different social and aesthetic assessment of such material. Lebailly concludes that it has been an error of Dodgson’s biographers to view his child-photography with 20th or 21st century eyes, and to have presented it as some form of personal idiosyncrasy, when it was in fact a response to a prevalent aesthetic and philosophical movement of the time.
Leach’s reappraisal of Dodgson focused in particular on his controversial sexuality. She argues that the allegations of pedophilia rose initially from a misunderstanding of Victorian morals, as well as the mistaken idea, fostered by Dodgson’s various biographers, that he had no interest in adult women. No one can prove a lot of things, but some people think that the unproven is the truth. Does this really make sense?

I saw an exhibit of his photography at the MOMA in SF, and my friend and I (both Carroll fans) both felt there was a pedo air to it. There will never be “proof” one way or the other, but I do think there was something very unusual in how he was drawn to little girls.
