Woman Charged After Throwing Puppy “Shot-Put Style” Off Balcony

HOUSTON, TX — A woman in Texas has been charged with animal cruelty after she threw her boyfriend’s pit bull puppy off a third-story balcony.

Witnesses say that after a fight with her boyfriend, 30-year-old Nidra F. Billard threw his 6-week-old puppy “shot-put style” off the apartment complex balcony where it landed on the partially paved courtyard below.

Amazingly, the puppy survived even though it suffered contusions and broken blood vessels in his eyes. He is expected to recover and has since been transferred from the city’s animal shelter to a rescue facility. “He was doing pretty good when he left,” BARC spokesman Chris Newport said. “His eyesight is bad right now. He has a little wobble in his step.”

Billard has been charged with felony animal cruelty. She’s looking at a possible two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

I heard about this on the radio yesterday here in Austin. Bitch is going down, Travis County loves their animals, but the big stink was over the vet who refused to treat the puppy without payment up front. APD rushed the pup to a 24 hour animal clinic and the vet said no pay, no treat. Everyone here is pissed.

I just hate hearing about cavemen/women throwing the dog/cat/kid when they don’t get their way in an argument. I have an extensive coca cola glass collection and that is what I stated throwing around when I had had my very last straw with my ex. That way it was my own stuff I was breaking. (incidentally not one glass broke, but mysteriously the window got broke) Like so many jilted assholes he resorted to throwing me around the day he moved out. first and last time.

But he left the cat alone, otherwise I would have gone ape shit on him – like I have said I would so many times here on DD.

Thats how vets are here too, they must have that emergency fee upfront 700$ last time I had emergency, and they use pressure on you, hurry up and get the money so we can treat your dog or she is going to die, anyways fat bitch looks like someone shot putted her ass off a balcony long ago… eyes are still half dead looking…
