Waiter Accused Of Raping 7-Year-Old Girl In Men’s Restroom

Waiter Accused Of Raping 7 Year Old Girl In Mens RestroomLittle Rock, AR — Marco Antonio de la Rosa Gutierrez, a waiter at the Casa Manana Mexican restaurant, was arrested Friday night after police say he lured a 7-year-old girl into the men’s room and raped her.

According to authorities, the child was at the restaurant with family when she excused herself from the table and made her way to the restroom. It was then that Gutierrez allegedly lured the child into the men’s restroom and sexually assaulted her – all in the span of about five minutes. When he was through with her, he reportedly continued to wait tables until police arrived.

Restaurant owner Desiderio Juarez says Gutierrez has worked at Casa Manana for nearly 10-years. Juarez considered him a good employee, but wants him held accountable if found guilty. “He’s got a family. He’s got a wife and he has kids.”

The child was examined at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and has been interviewed by police. Gutierrez, 35, is being held on $1 million bond. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Gutierrez is not a registered sex offender, but does have a criminal history.

      This is precisely why my kids DO NOT go to the restroom alone. My kids are 5 and 9 years old, and they’ve never been to the restroom alone barring the one’s in our own home. You never know what the person who’s pissing beside your child is thinking (or looking at). I can also tell you that if my daughter came out of a restroom and told me this scumbag raped her, the last thing he would have seen would be me as I choked the life out of him.

      When they go out with friends and family, do you make it clear the kids are not allowed to use the restroom themselves? Do their friends find that odd? At what age do you plan on letting them go alone? What if they are out with someone of the opposite gender, do they take the nine year old into the other restroom?

      As a female, I would be uncomfortable with a nine year old boy in the women’s restroom. If I were male, I would be totally creeped out by the idea of taking a nine year old girl into a men’s restroom. But I don’t understand how you could make sure your child always had someone of the same gender available to escort them.

      I too wonder how a person can always ensure that there is someone there to take a child into the restroom, but in this particular case, even escorting her to the door and waiting for her outside would have prevented this crap from happening. My son is five, and I think it will still be a while before I stop at least walking him to the restroom door. He can go in the boy’s room without me, but I think it is a good habit to not let your children walk around alone when surrounded by people you don’t know. It also keeps the child from running around and bugging other people while they are trying to eat their dinner.

      I am shameless. Better safe than sorry. I have been known to stand outside the restroom door (with my 13 yr old *yes*) and yell shit to make my presence known. I just take the younger ones in with me.

      Five does seem too young to wander off alone. Although if I thought my kid would run around and bug other people I wouldn’t take them out to eat. That would never have flown with my parents, and I knew it! Proper manners in public- Or. Else. >:-|

      Deety, I have two beautiful kids. They are nine (girl) and five (boy). I find nothing wrong at all with going into the restroom with my son and the same holds true for my daughter and my wife, regardless of their ages. That being said, no one watches our kids, as we don’t do anything without them. We home school our children, yet are very active in the community with socializing them as well. Our kids are our best friends, our life lines and our entire reason for being. We’re also business owners and our kids stay here during business hours. I’m aware that not everyone is in our same situation, but we chose our future wisely, and I wouldn’t change a thing if I had it to do all over again.

      Wesley Allen Dodd did a lot of Disney movie bathroom sleuthing. He would have Just Been Waiting for my son. Either of them, my 7 or 9 year olds.
      This atrocity happens in libraries, back yards, the dollar store, walmart, BK.

      My 9 year old son has no interest in anything but getting to pee and wash and get the fuck out. I assure you. If you think differently, then maybe you are a pervert.

      I don’t understand letting your 7 y/o child go to the bathroom by herself, We’ve heard many stories of Pedo Pervs hanging out in the bathrooms of parks, walmarts, targets, etc..  My kids are adult & almost adult and I didn’t let them go into bathrooms by themselves even 15 years ago!  Parent’s you cannot let your guard down EVER!  and no I am not some overprotective mother but I will damn well error on the side of Caution ALWAYS!
