Man Accused Of Necrophilia Claims He Didn’t Know The Chick Was Dead

Washington, IN -- Richard Sanden was taken into custody over the weekend and charged with multiple offenses that include sex with a corpse, mutilation of a corpse, and sexual deviant conduct because he apparently had no idea he had been bangin’ a dead chick…for hours…giggity. Police were called to 48-year-old Rebecca Whitehead’s apartment Saturday night after Sanden called 911 to report the two of them were having sex when it dawned on him that she was no longer breathing. He said he attempted to revive her, but to no avail. When police arrived on scene, they found a nekkid dead woman, as well as evidence of alcohol and marijuana use. When questioned, Sanden reportedly told investigators that he had been schtupping the woman for several hours, totally clueless to the fact that she had died. When he finally realized the woman really was a dead lay, he dismounted(?), attempted CPR and called for help. Initially arrested on abuse of a corpse, paraphernalia and drug possession charges, Sanden was ordered held on $4,500 bail. Authorities upgraded the charges on Tuesday after getting a peek at some video tapes found hidden in another room. Two of those tapes featured Sanden and Whitehead. In the most recent video, police say it appears as if Whitehead moved a bit, but at the same time, it appeared as if she was unresponsive to various stimuli. The cause of death is under investigation as authorities await autopsy and toxicology reports. Meanwhile, Sanden’s bail has been bumped up to $500,000. Police say Whitehead and Sanden met on a telephone date line and had been seeing each other for about 3 months. Thanks for the tip, Dakota!
