Police Looking For Man Who Stole Gaming Consoles From Young Cancer Patients
December 10, 2010 at 10:06 am by MorbidCHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte police would love some help tracking down the man who they say walked into a Carolinas Medical Center cancer center and stole gaming systems used by children who are being treated for cancer. Yesterday police released two surveillance pictures of the suspect standing in the hallway at the hospital before getting on to the elevator, one has him looking directly into the camera. The suspect was wearing a toboggan which appeared to be blue or purple. He was also wearing glasses, a thick black coat and had a back pack. When the man leaves the cancer center, which was closed at the time, that back pack would contain five consoles, including Xboxes. “You really have to wonder about somebody who would take something from kids who are really having a tough time,” said Kevin McCarthy, spokesman for Carolinas HealthCare System. “This helps give them a little comfort while they’re going through the treatment.” If anyone knows who this guy is, you are asked to call 911.
