Henderson, NV — Police say 33-year-old Edward Colucci didn’t just try to break his girlfriend’s two young sons physically, he also tried to break them emotionally. Colucci was arrested late last month, charged with child abuse, assault and kidnapping, after paramedics and police officers found his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son unconscious in the couple’s apartment. The child was suffering from severe malnutrition – so severe his hair was falling out. Dispatchers say that when the boys’ mother called 911 on November 23, she could be heard telling Colucci, “you went too far.” And she wasn’t fucking kidding. According to police, over the course of a few months, Colucci allowed the boy to eat nothing but dry ramen noodles, garlic cloves and onions. He reportedly spit in the child’s water. When the child’s mother made eye contact with the boy, Colucci reportedly viewed it as showing “too much affection” and punished the kid by punching or kicking him. Police say Colucci bit the boy’s nose, sprayed glass cleaner in his eyes and forced him to eat his own vomit.…

SANFORD, Fla. — Ok, last one from me today as I go back to being as unproductive as possible. It’s another one from Florida, where people are questioning why a police lieutenant’s son was never arrested or charged for sucker punching the ever-living shit out of a homeless person, even though the entire event was captured on video. Normally I don’t like describing what you will see anyway, but for those of you who are unable to see the following video, it shows a homeless man, Sherman Ware, trying to break up a fight outside of a bar when Justin Collison, the cop’s son, walks up behind him and punches him in the back of the head. Really hard. Sherman’s face slams a pole then he falls unconscious to the sidewalk. Collison then proceeds to walk around yelling like a douchebag before attacking another patron. Witnesses, including Justin’s own friends, aren’t too happy with Justin’s antics and begin yelling at him for puss punching people for absolutely no reason. But that was on Dec 4, and as of right now, Justin has not been charged or arrested for his unprovoked assault against Sherman.…

Parkland, FL — Just when I thought I would make it through the day without posting a story, I see this crazy one from Florida. Police say that a woman died after being strangled by an electronic neck massager. After wrapping Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, 37-year-old Michelle Ferrari-Gegerson reportedly used an electronic massaging device on her sore neck. Her husband would find her lifeless body on the bedroom floor later that evening. Police are ruling the death as accidental, the Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Medical Examiner’s Office both stating that it looks as if the massaging device got caught up in her necklace and proceeded to choke her to death. They have not released the brand of massager that they say killed her, but I was unaware that these things posed that kind of hazard. That was until I read that in Japan, several women died after improperly using an electronic foot massager on their necks. The device snagged their shirts and basically formed a fairly effective tourniquet around their necks.…

PITTSBURGH, PA — Just when you think it can’t get much worse than stealing from kids with cancer, along comes 38-year-old Jody Lynn Bennett. He has been arrested and accused of stealing items from the casket of a teen who died in a Christmas Day car crash. Bradley McCombs, 17, was on his way to pick up a relative but was killed after losing control of his vehicle and flipping it. During Bradley’s open-casket viewing on Monday night, Bennett allegedly reached inside Bradley’s coffin and stole a Game Boy, Game Boy Light and three games that had been placed inside by Bradley’s family. Someone witnessed what he did and when family member’s confronted Bennett, he took off. He was arrested today after police received an anonymous tip and is currently in jail on a $15,000 bond, charged with theft, abuse of a corpse, and intentional desecration of a venerated object. Bennet’s mother has apologized for her son’s actions, while his aunt said her nephew ‘had been into drugs, he’s into alcohol, he’s just messed up’.…

SAN DIEGO, CA — Taking a break from sitting on my ass playing UNCHARTED 2, I caught a glimpse of another story involving someone attacking their parent with a samurai sword. Luckily, unlike the case of Michael Brea, this did not end in a murder…but the story is still quite horrific. Police say 39-year-old John Cahan barged into his 69-year-old father’s bedroom at around 3 a.m. Sunday morning demanding that his father present him with his hand so that he could cut it off with the samurai sword he was wielding. When his father did not oblige with his son’s request, Cahan proceeded to swing the sword a couple times striking his father in the leg causing a potentially life-threatening injury. Cahan left the room but returned later to try and stop the bleeding but eventually called 911, telling police that his father had injured himself while sleepwalking. The injured man was taken to the hospital in critical condition while Cahan was taken to jail, charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.…

BOISE, IDAHO — A 68-year-old passenger on a Southwest flight from Las Vegas was arrested when his plane landed in Boise after police say he punched a teenage passenger. According to reports, the 15-year-old was flying alone and was playing games and listening to music on his iPhone when the announcement was made to turn off all electronic devices. Either not hearing the announcement, or not caring, the teen kept on using his iPhone as the plane began its landing. This really aggravated Russell Miller who feared the electronic device usage was a threat to his safety so he reportedly got the teen’s attention by punching him in the arm hard enough to leave a mark and ultimately garner him one count of misdemeanor battery. As the proud parent of a teenager who spends the majority of his time with his head down texting with his Skull Candy Earbuds firmly implanted in his ears, I can almost sympathize with the guy. Almost. It really all depends on if the teen was intentionally ignoring the requests of the crew, or simply didn’t hear them and if Miller truly thought that the use of the iPhone would cause the plane to nosedive into the runway.…

Man Opens Fire At Phoenix Strip Club, Killing Two

December 28, 2010 at 3:50 pm by

Phoenix, Arizona — Police say the man who opened fire at the Great Alaskan Bush Company had left his home with intentions of committing the act and picked people to shoot at random. Gavin MacFarlane, 28, paid for a topless dance, a full nude dance and a beer he did not touch before walking out of the strip club to retrieve a handgun from his vehicle. When he walked back in, he opened fire. When he ran out of ammo, he was tackled by other patrons and subdued until police arrived. Sadly, MacFarlane was able to shoot four people. Adam Troy Cooley, 34, a security guard, was shot and killed after he stepped in between MacFarlane and a dancer. Antonio Garcia, 20, was shot and killed. A 22-year-old man was wounded while a a 20-year-old topless dancer was reportedly shot in the arm. MacFarlane hit another man in the face with his gun after he ran out of bullets. Court documents reveal MacFarlane told investigators he planned the attack. “Gavin stated that he had brought the weapon with him as part of a plan he had formulated in his mind…with the intention of shooting the first people he came in contact with,” police wrote.…

Oklahoma City, Ok — A man charged with shooting his wife in the head in their bedroom last week is telling investigators that it was an accident. Arthur Sedille, 23, claims that he routinely pressed the handgun against his wife’s head during sex as part of a fantasy, but that on the night of Dec 21 he was not aware that the gun was loaded. He only realized this after he blew 50-year-old Rebecca Sedille’s brains out. Sedille called 911 after the boner-killer, but his wife would die at the hospital. Sedille was later arrested on a suspicion of first-degree murder charge. Formal charges will be made after the investigation is complete. The crazy thing is that he very well could be telling the truth. My sex games sometimes consist of surgical gloves, one large pineapple and a tub of butter. But even so, even if it was just an accidental death during some kinky sex, no doubt he’d still be charged with manslaughter for simply not checking if the thing was loaded.…

Miami, Florida — Talk about some tragic news right after Christmas. Five teenagers celebrating a birthday were found dead in a hotel after being accidentally killed by carbon monoxide. Police say they received a call after a hotel maid at the Hotel Presidente near Miami International Airport saw the unconscious teenagers through a window. The teens had rented the hotel room the day after Christmas to celebrate a friend’s 19th birthday. Police found a running Kia Optima parked in a closed garage located underneath their room. Apparently the car had to be jump started earlier in the day, and friends say the group had decided to leave the car running to keep the battery charged. A door leading to the upstairs room had been left cracked open, leading to the hotel room filling up with lethal levels of carbon monoxide. The teens were all found on or around the beds. Police say there were no drugs or alcohol in the hotel room, only bags of partially eaten food from McDonald’s.…

Jonathan FosterHOUSTON, TX — An Amber Alert was issued Monday for 12-year-old Jonathan Foster. He was last seen around 1:45 p.m on Christmas Eve at the Villa Nueva Apartments where he lives with his mother and stepfather.

Shortly after he was last seen, his mother received an emergency phone call at work. “Someone called and said it was an emergency,” said Mary Gifford, the missing boy’s grandmother. “But by the time she picked up the phone, no one was there.”

Foster’s biological father and other relatives live within walking distance, and Foster often spent time at their homes. His mother called police at 9:30 pm. when she was unable to find him.

“I don’t know if it’s an abduction,” said Sgt. Stuart Harris of HPD’s Missing Persons Unit. “I don’t know if he just walked off. I don’t know if there’s foul play involved. We have no reason to think he’s a runaway. … He’s missing under suspicious circumstances, which is always a major concern for us.”

Jonathan has red or auburn hair and blue eyes.…

HARTFORD, CT —Police arrested 19-year-old Francheska Terrero after responding to a 911 call early Christmas Eve where a woman told police their daughter was assaulting her father with a Christmas tree. When police arrived at the home they found a very drunk, very belligerent Terrero at the scene along with a Christmas tree on its side with broken ornaments scattered around the room. The teen’s mother told police that Terrero had even taken the cell phone she used to call 911 out of her hand and threw that at her father as well. Terrero was arrested, facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and interfering with a 911 call. Her parents received some minor injuries at the hands of their drunken daughter. To be completely honest, the only only reason why I am even wasted any time with this dumbass story is because I like posting about drunk teenage girls and the fact that Terrero is sporting about five different hairstyles at one time.…

Colorado Springs, CO — I’m surprised that this story isn’t getting more play in the media. Last Thursday police arrested a man after he allegedly killed his girlfriend’s puppy after the couple had gotten into an argument. The woman told police that she left the homeAfter police responded to a possible domestic disturbance call after a woman called stating her boyfriend had intentionally killed her puppy. She told them that after arguing with 25-year-old Christopher Blackstone, she left their residence so that she could to cool off. During this time Blackstone continually texted her, but she ignored them. On Christmas Eve morning, he texted her and told her that had she answered her phone, her puppy would still be alive. She raced home and to her horror, found he was not kidding. The 3 to 5-month old puppy’s body was found in a nearby dumpster. Investigators say it looked as if Blackstone had repeatedly stomped on its head. Blackstone was arrested, charged with cruelty to animals, harassment and felony criminal mischief after he damaged a police car after kicking it.…

Houston, TX — Houston police arrested 21-year-old LaQuinta Latrice Kemp at the Almeda Mall on Christmas Eve after she got busted shoplifting clothes from a Macy’s. Not only did she try and steal merchandise, she punched the employee who confronted her before running out of the store. Kemp also left something behind in the form of her her 1-year-old baby boy sitting in his stroller. She was apprehended outside of the mall and taken into custody. Her son was handed over to her grandmother while CPS conducts an investigation and while Kemp was taken to jail on child abandonment and burglary charges. This is not Kemp’s first run-in with police as she is currently on probation for a previous burglary charge. No mugshot with this one as Harris County, Texas does not release mugshots unless the accused is convicted. I’m sure that’s not going to be an issue here so I will replace the Jane’s Addiction pic with Kemp’s as soon as we get it.…

Man Accused Of Burning Baby’s Feet With Lighter

December 28, 2010 at 7:56 am by

Roseville, MI — The blockhead to the left is 20-year-old Scott Carlson – he’s accused of beating and burning his girlfriend’s 13-month-old daughter on Christmas because she ruined a piece of wrapping paper. Carlson reportedly told police that he was babysitting the child and “lost his temper a little” when she got into said paper. The baby girl is now being treated at the hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries that include multiple bruises to her back, buttocks and head, as well as second degree burns on her feet. According to police, the baby had more than one burn on each foot and they believe those burns were caused by a Bic lighter. After losing his temper a little, Carlson took the child to her paternal grandparent’s home and they, in turn, had her seen in the emergency room. Carlson was arrested on a couple of outstanding warrants, and though he reportedly made some incriminating statements during questioning, he was mostly vague and inconsistent with his answers as to how the child was injured.…

Fort Myers, FL — Ting Ting Perng’s husband called Fort Myers police early Monday morning claiming the crazy bitch tried to set him on fire.

According to police, Ting Ting and her man were arguing that morning when she allegedly doused him with water and NyQuil and flicked her Bic. She then attempted to set the bed on fire before running for the kitchen.

The man told police he overheard Ting Ting threatening to set the Christmas tree on fire and was trying to beat feet out of the house when Ting Ting appeared before him with a kitchen knife – he ended up beating feet back upstairs and into the bedroom.

When deputies arrived at the couple’s apartment, they noted the spilled NyQuil and scorch marks on the bed. The boyfriend was reportedly “drenched in cough medicine and water and had large scratches running across his chest.”

Ting Ting told police she acted in self-defense after the man tried to choke her, but deputies could find no evidence to back up her claim.…

CLIFTON, CO — Hello readers. Jaded and myself are on vacation so stories will be sparse and sporadic until the beginning of next year in which we will return with some (hopefully) big news. But I did want to post this story about Kayla Settle today. The 22-year-old mother of two was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to her apartment last month while her brother and two children were inside. On Nov 19 her daughter woke her up because their apartment was on fire and luckily everyone inside were able to get out safely. Settle later told investigators that she had woke up that night to a masked man with a gun in her kid’s room. She said he sexually assaulted her and knocked her unconscious before setting a fire in her kid’s room. After further questioning, Settle finally admitted she had made up the intruder story and she was the one who set the fire. She said she was feeling suicidal that night so after smoking some weed and taking some cold medicine, she used lighter fluid to try and start a fire outside her kid’s bedroom window.…

LOS ANGELES, CA — Remember that Joe Finley guy from a couple months back? He’s the “America’s Got Talent” contestant who auditioned for the show immediately after learning that his wife was dead at the bottom of a hotel stairwell. He’s now offering $250,000 for any information leading to a conviction in his wife’s “murder.” That’s in quotes because the Los Angeles police still have the case open, even stating the death could have been an accident. Personally, I think the entire thing looks suspicious, especially Finley’s account of the last time he saw his wife alive. Laura Finley, 48, was found dead at the bottom of a staircase in the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. She and Joe partied that night and returned to their hotel room. Finley says 3 a.m., Laura came back in the room from getting ice saying something had happened at the ice machine. Joe says she went into the bathroom and he fell asleep, never asking what had happened. When he got up at 6 a.m., Laure was nowhere to be found but he went ahead and prepared for his audition.…
