Second Florida Landscaper This Month Drowns While Cutting Grass
September 15, 2010 at 9:25 am by MorbidPLANTATION, Fla. – On Tuesday morning a landscaping crew was hard at work at the Southern Pointe Apartments. One of the workers was using an industrial sized riding mower to cut the grass near the canal when it ended up in the water, pinning the 26-year-old man underneath. None of the co-workers witnessed him go in and did not figure out what had happened until they noticed he was missing. Police were called but unfortunately the water, like my last date’s vagina, was too dark and too deep for anyone to enter and be effective. It would take Fire Department divers to free the man from underneath the mower. He was brought to the surface in cardiac arrest and would later die at the hospital. Investigators are not sure if a heart attack caused the man to drive the mower into the canal or if the heart attack was a result of being trapped underwater with a lawnmower on top of him, but feel he may have hit the accelerator too hard and popped a wheelie before toppling into the canal. NBC Miami claims this is the second landscaper this month who has drowned after being trapped underneath their lawnmower. I wonder if that poor guy’s last thoughts were like mine would be in that situation. Something like, “Seriously?”
