ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – I was on my way to church when the Lord told me to turn around, smoke a bowl and post a couple stories that didn’t make the cut on Friday. Starting with a man who was charged with stalking his own daughter. Cops noticed a car cruising around a women’s shelter in a suspicious manner and pulled him over. The driver, 59-year-old Dennis Hobbs, was found to be wearing camouflage makeup and had a loaded gun, a wig, a camera and a notebook detailing a woman’s movements. The woman was his 19-year-old daughter who had recently been granted a restraining order against her father stating she lived in fear of her overly protective, religious father who disapproved of her lifestyle. Hobbs told officers that he was just protecting his daughter who he feared was in danger because of bad life decisions. He was charged with misdemeanor stalking to which he pleaded not guilty. His lawyer stated all this sounds worse than it really is. “He was just concerned for her safety,” said Kym Rivellini. The judge presiding over the court hearing stated he felt that Hobbs did love his daughter but ”when our kids reach a certain age, there’s only so much we can do … but we don’t paint our faces up and go out at 10:30 at night with a gun in the car.” Crazy eyes, man…the dude has crazy eyes.
