Florida Mother Charged With Child Neglect After Leaving Her Kid In Parked Car Outside Shopping Center

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - You would think that after the countless number of news reports regarding kids being left in hot cars, that people would learn. But then again the majority of people are idiots so I guess it’s not too surprising that we continue to post about parents leaving their young kids in hot cars. In Florida. During the summer. A woman walking through a shopping center parking lot noticed a screaming 1-year-old in a parked Ford Mustang with the windows up. Good Samaritans pulled the sweaty, pale and shaking child out of the car and went inside a beauty supply store to ask if the kid belonged to anyone. No one ‘fessed up so the police were called. When deputies arrived 22-year-old Chekeena Hall, the mother of the child, walked out of the beauty supply store. Deputies asked her why in the hell did you leave your kid in a car in 91-degree weather? She responded that she had forgot the child was there. She was arrested and charged with child neglect. Check out the video report from Channel 5 to see the woman who found the baby, as well as a chance to ogle Liz Nunez like I did.

    What's really upsetting about the video is the good samaritan is clearly more upset about the baby being locked up in the car than the mother.

    I just cannot understand how a mother could not give a shit about their own child/children. Why have children? Why not, as soon as turning 18 or whatever just have a hysterectomy or something so you don't have to take care (if that's what you call it) of something besides yourself. I can never understand!

    I live in west palm and heard about this yesterday. So sad. Thank goodness someone saw the child before she died. The Mustang was black by the way so the car heated up much faster. Poor baby

    And all the while, she was transported in an air conditioned car, and is sitting in an air conditioned cell and will go into an air conditioned courtroom. Too bad the judge can't sentence her to 30 minutes in a car in the sun in a parking lot.

    As I've stated before, certain people shouldn't breed it's that simple. These fucking child neglect cases get to me worse than some of the rapes and murders. These are innocent children that depend on their parents to survive. It really makes me sick to hear about these stories. YOU DON'T FORGET about a child in a car. I'm sorry, that's intentional and the penalties should be much harder.

Chekeena, Laquisha, and Cinderella are all recent ones that come to mind and theres more I can't think of. I've yet to see Latrina, but I'm waiting for that one. By the way, Chekeena, I don't even leave my dog in the car on a hot day, and I live in Montana. Of course you probably don't realize that's a state, probably used it as a name for one of your kids.
