Anthony Stromberg Teaches His 6yr Old How to Make Bombs

Las Cruces, NM – Anthony Stromberg, 44, taught his 6yr old son how to make explosives. Bombs. You get that? It’s alleged that Anthony, who has extensive knowledge in weapon making, felt a need to pass his skills on to his kidlet. Defectives report that Anthony showed him how to assemble bombs and took him to the desert on more than one occasion to blow shit up. Police were tipped off after the son confided in an adult, that Anthony was planning on kidnapping and shooting the kindergartner’s mother because of an argument two weeks prior. Anthony and the child’s mother have shared custody with the mother being the primary caretaker. The Las Cruces Police Department’s SWAT team – assisted by officers from New Mexico State Police, the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives – arrested Mr Stromberg on one count of child abuse. He is currently being held with bond set at $150,000.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and suspect more charges will follow. This quality adult figure has prior charges from 2006  for theft, battery against a household member, resisting arrest and assaulting a law enforcement officer. Stromberg, a heavy equipment operator, also had warrant for his arrest for driving with a suspended license. That’s prime family bonding right there. I can see the family games they played together – cars, hide and seek, cops and robbers, how to kill your mama properly, the correct wire assembly to avoid accidentally blowing yourself up….it warms my cockles. Good job, numb nuts.

      Sounds like a real piece of work–although I don't have a problem with teaching the kid how to make explosive devices, in & of itself. I grew up doing that–you had to be able to blow stumps out of the ground, & other such tasks. I have no idea how many times I blew shit up when I was younger. Hell, I bought an Army Improvised Munitions Handbook when I was about 12 or 13. Interesting reading, that was.

      I agree.. I see no harm in teaching a child about proper use and handling of explosives.

      Of course, he went to far when he threatened to kill the kid's mom.

      He was charged with child abuse. according to the sourc, it's not clear to me that the child abuse was related to the part of the story relating to exposing him to explosives making. The source focuses on his past extensive criminal history and threats to murder his ex. I think it's more about that. Although he is a shitty role model and probably a guy who should not be allowed to play with explosives, I agree with the above posters CLM and tennesee bud.. It can be safely done and even legal.

      I see your point and agree to a degree. (that's a fun sentence say it out loud) Normal people don't have records of violence or have stupid shit they can get arrested for on their records. I own the Anarchists cookbook…I know, bad ass. Knowledge is a wonderful thing. That isn't my problem with this. THIS GUY has a violent history and is teaching a 6yr old by example. A fucked example. His methods are wrong. Teaching hunting, survival, mechanics, weapons…all have a place in our society. But I don't want my teacher to be scum of the earth or feed bullshit into a kids impressionable head like he did.
