Police Say Man Suffocated Toddler, Shoved Screw Down Her Throat

McAllen, TX – EMT’s responded to Hector Castro’s apartment Saturday evening after receiving a call about a child who had choked on a screw. There was little anyone could do for his toddler stepdaughter – she was dead when emergency personnel arrived. The 2-year-old did have a screw in her throat, but an initial examination of  her body revealed the item had absolutely nothing to do with her death – she had been beaten and suffocated. Castro told investigators he was caring for the child and trying to watch the World Cup game, but the girl’s incessant crying made him flip his shit. He admitted to severely beating the child, cracking several of her ribs in the process, before suffocating her. He then jammed the screw down her throat in an attempt to make the suffocation appear accidental. 28-year-old Castro, an undocumented immigrant and worthless fucking jackass, will face a capital murder charge at an arraignment set for today. It’s been reported that there were at least four other children living in the apartment – all have been taken into protective custody.

    I don't know why it still surprises me how stupid people can be! This guy really thought that he could get away with murdering this child by stuffing a screw down her throat? He must have thought long and hard about that one. I wonder if he was able to enjoy the game once he “quieted” her down?!

    Wow, I haven’t seen this on the news here at all. This Invader thought it would be that easy to get away with it, well, enjoy Huntsville, TX, death row.

    Great, more fodder for anyone who says illegal immigration is evil and that all illegal immigrants commit horrible crimes over here like murder (yes, many people say that). I don't want to get into an immigration debate but for fucks sake, why do jackasses like this fuel the fire?

    That poor kid probably was born here and had every chance in the world to succeed. I would say I can 't believe someone would do something like this, but that would be a complete lie. I believe it, and it makes me want to punch someone in the face.

    Yeah, I love that about Texas. They have the death penalty and they aren't afraid to use it.

    May not be afraid to use it, but it usually still takes over a decade for prisoners to get to the execution table. I understand the need for an appeal and exoneration time period but science today is almost always able to do that within a matter of a few years…it's not like the late 90's where we had all these cases from the 70s and 80s being re-tried because of DNA testing.

    I say give them five years. They may deserve to be tortured in the isolation of death row for the full 20+ years that many are there, but I have no desire to pay for it.

    I believe that the great state of Texas is the only state left that uses Electrocution as a death dealer but I may be wrong.

    Texas uses the injection process. Arallyn: Believe me; the people here on death row in Texas are miserable. It's not like most death rows around the country. Here they are completely alone and locked up for 23 hours a day. No contact with others and in a small space. They are only allowed what will fit in a small box to own. No T.V. of any kind. Imagine 10 years of that. I say keep them there and let them suffer.

    Oh trust me, I know. They go batshit loco by the end. They're actually like that in the majority of states with the death penalty…there are only a few that have them in general population. I'm just bitching about paying for that many years of them staying alive. Most of them are crazy by the end of the third year as far as I can tell.

    I like that New Hampshire still authorizes hangings if there's a reason that lethal injection is found unconstitutional. For some reason that just sits right with me.

    I'm a naturalized USA citizen & what pisses me off is that the a-hole's going to a nice American jail where they'll treat him extremely nice, have A/C, 3 square meals a day & will hang out w/other Cholos until he can get out b/c prisons are too crowded.
