Tyesha Roberts, 16, Charged With Murder After Stabbing Laqueda Hall, 18

Charlotte, NC - According to authorities, Tyesha Roberts, 16, and Laqueda Hall, 18, were involved in some sort of verbal altercation centered around a man who had supposedly fathered a child with each of them and how much time said father, whose name and age has not been released, was spending with each of their children. And what started out as a cat fight ended with a stabbin’. Police say the fighting started sometime Wednesday afternoon when Hall arrived at the home where Roberts was living to get milk from the baby’s father. After a brief spat between the two girls, Hall left the home. She returned later that night and argument escalated into violence. At some point, Roberts allegedly stabbed Hall twice – once in the chest and once in the neck. Hall died at the hospital a short time later. Witnesses at the scene identified Roberts as being the stabby one and directed detectives to a relative’s home where they thought she might be. When Roberts arrived at the home, she was arrested. Now, here’s where it gets a little weird. Roberts’ family claims that she doesn’t have a baby…never had one with anybody. They also said it’s important to wait until all the facts about the case come out. But police say they are sticking by their beliefs that Tyesha does, indeed, have a child. Uhhh…wtf? That part of the story just does not compute. I can’t wait to hear more about that. At any rate, one young girl is dead, leaving behind a 3-month-old baby, and another is locked up and looking at a charge of murder in the first-degree.
