Infant Dies After What Police Call A Brutal Sexual Assault Allegedly From Parents

Bullhead City, AZ- This just really makes me sick to my stomach and now I am feeling all stabby. Police were called to the emergency room of a hospital on Tuesday morning after receiving a call about the abuse of a 1-month old baby boy. Doctors told the officers the baby had bruises and sores on his body and his eyes were red and swollen shut. The baby had also suffered broken ribs and a broken femur. The infant was malnourished, dehydrated, and also showed signs of sexual abuse and shaken baby syndrome. The newborn was later transferred by medical helicopter in critical condition to a hospital in Las Vegas, but died Wednesday morning. The baby’s worthless cunt mother, 19-year old Staci Lynn Barbosa, was taken into custody immediately after taking the child to the hospital. The piece-of shit baby-daddy, 23-year old Jonathan Edward Vandergriff, turned himself in to police. Upon executing a search warrant at their home, officers found marijuana and other items that can be used as evidence in this case. Both of these fucking scumbags are now facing charges of molestation of a child, child abuse, aggravated assault and sexual conduct with a minor. Homicide charges are pending. Vandergriff is being held on a $500,000 bond while Barbosa is being held on a $250,000 bond.

This is sick. I have a 5 week old baby girl and could not even begin to imagine hurting her! I can't stand hearing her whimper for a feeding, let alone cry in pain like when she had to get her 2d shot at the pediatricians office, it breaks my heart and makes ME want to cry! So basically the minute they got the baby home from the hospital after he was born, the first order of business was raping him and kicking his ass……??? WHY??? They could have given him up for adoption, dropped him off at a fire station, not had him in the first place, they could have done so many other things than this. It took me 5 years to have a baby and I miscarried 4 along the way. When my daughter was finally born healthy I was absolutely overcome with such a surge of love and protectiveness I could hardly contain it. She's 4 now and I feel murderous if anyone even gives her a nasty look – how can anyone who has carried a precious baby inside of her do anything to hurt her child/allow anyone to hurt her child?!? It is absolutely beyond my comprehension. Hell, even the most anti-kid, jaded acquaintences of mine would kill themselves before they would hurt a child, especially a newborn…how is such evil even possible?!?!? It's a horrible world.

I read these horrendous nightmares that children go thru. And I feel as though through disaster I can be a better person. I love my children more. I laugh with them more. I teach them that they can be better than what we read about. I hold them tighter at night for that because of that one child that didnt have a chance. For this child. I hope that makes sense.
I just remember that though the world can be so evil, I can be better. Be a voice for those that have none. Remember that when you see brutality, you have the ability to help.

My youngest son is actually a month old today & now, after reading that, I'm gonna have to wake him up, even though it's 2am & he's sound asleep just to hold his warm little body & kiss his cute little cheeks. There are people out there who are so horrible that to torture them would be too much effort than they are worth. These two are those type of people. Gas chamber would be best suited here. Unfortunately, my 17 yr old daughter met these two right before they had the baby. They had not one thing for him, we gave him clothes and some blankets. They also have a 2 yr old daughter who lives with a family member, and they also had another son who died almost a yr to the day that this baby was born (he was not born alive). The father was known to be a shooter of meth, but the mother didn't use any drugs or even smoke. I heard she was just very lazy. I spoke with a medical professional at the first hosp. he was brought to (I was there for my own medical issues at the time), and the story was on the front page and it was the first I had heard he had suffered and died. I was completely devastated at this news. Anyway, the medical prof. said he had been brought in for difficulty breathing, and he had multiple skull fractures, and his bowel was hanging out of him (which is how they quickly realized the poor thing had been molested). Also, the father Jonathon had served some time in the past for child abuse and had been accused by a friend of his of touching his friends son, in the past (but he was never charged because there wasn't enough evidence). My daughter is completely devastated as she had met Matthew right after his birth, and she said both parents acted so happy at his arrival, and they liked to show him off, but after a couple of weeks noone saw him again, he was kept in their bedroom in his crib, where my daughter said he cried alot. There is talk among the kids around here who knew these two evil pieces of shit that Staci knew all about her boyfriends past w/other children. And also that Jonathon alledgedly told the cops everything, but the mother is keeping her mouth shut. There is also a rumor going around that the police recovered stained bloody clothes of Matthew's from their apartment, which might be part of the evidence of this crime that they got. I wish my daughter had seen something or sensed something and came to me, I would of called the police and done something. And I hate to say this, but I feel like he's in a better place now.

I think you have gotten the wrong impression of Anna's post. When she said that drug users are scum, she was saying that from a perspective of a hard-core liberal, the kind that support baby diddlers and murders (such as rehabilitation and anti-death penalty, the bleeding hearts), but they are all for hard core punishment for people who commit lesser crimes.

Also, not all abusers come from abused homes. Some are just messed up despite a good upbringing and are NOT made that way, they are born that way. Keep reading here, you will find plenty. Want an example of good upbringing still creating a monster? Ok, Jeffrey Dahmer. It does happen.

The bad things is it takes such force to break an infants bones. They usually have “greenstick” fractures which are not clean breaks, not literally a break. Best way to describe it is you know how granny would take a switch of a tree and the young one's, once you peel the bark off are all green and bendable but very hard to break?? Deputy Mohave County Attorney Greg McPhillips told the judge he still has not decided whether to seek the death penalty against the couple. Prosecutors have 60 days to decide whether to seek the death penalty against a defendant charged with murder.”

The Constitution doesn't mention not having the Death Penalty for sex crimes, the supreme court has ruled that the death penalty unconstitutional which is a little bit different. We executed traitors and people are allowed to kill thieves in defense of property in some states, both of those types of killings are held constitutional. For many years we did in fact execute child rapists and it is still Constitutional to use sexual assualt as the basis for applying for the death penalty in murder cases.

I would like to say that as a hardcore, bleeding heart, llama hugging, filthy traitor Liberal, I'm not sure where our perception of the liberal drug hate thing is coming from. That is not my experience. The legalization movement is pretty heavily liberal. I think that the Drug War (started by Republicans in the Regan era, mind you) is one of the worst things to happen to our country and our neighbors. Mandatory drug sentencing guidelines were established by a Republican administration.

I'm only anti-death penalty because I can't tolerate the idea that we'd kill an innocent person. I just think that our system is to messed up to play games with lives. I'm not against the death penalty as an idea, I just think the way that we mete it out is tragically flawed.

I don't “support baby diddlers.” Studies show that they are generally remorseless and impossible to “cure.” I believe in treatment for people who will benefit from it. Wasting it on someone who will not improve is idiocy. I will say that I feel terribly for pedophiles who never offend, and there are some. That is a torturous compulsion to be stricken with, I'd imagine. But the ones who actually offend? No mercy.

I do believe that rehabilitation and intervention is the path to reduced recidivism. I don't like to think of people as disposable, probably because I felt thrown away for much of my life. I guess it makes me feel diminished as a human if we don't try to help people become contributing members of society. There are certainly some offenders whose crimes are so horrific that reform is impossible, but even for lifers, I think that they can still contribute to society. There are programs that work, they're just expensive. However, I think money is best spent in prevention and intervention. That doesn't make me a terrorist, pedophile enabling, anti-drug, flag burning derptard.

Now, as far these two pustules, they deserve no mercy. I want horrible torturous things to happen to them for the rest of their days, which shouldn't be many. I simply can't fathom this crime. Any aspect of it. His mugshot is just vile. I hope they blow it up and have a huge poster of it up throughout the trial, right in front of the jury. [insert obligatory golf club beating comment here]

Yeah, I wasn't trying to politicize it either. I really hate talking politics. Canadian politics are slightly different than the States, but I hate them regardless. I don't even vote for crying out loud. I don't see the point in supporting one liar over another.

I was more interested in responding to the part of the comment that Avril Lynne Dudley made, “in reality abusers come from abused homes. In other words they are made that way.”. I don't really agree with that statement. I don't think I worded my comment well though.

As for the death penalty, half of me wishes it on the most despicable killers but ONLY if it is 100% certain that they did it. The other half of me relishes the idea that they will suffer for the rest of their miserable lives in prison, though most of them become so accustomed to it that it isn't misery for them any more. If I knew that they would be tortured every stinking day of their incarceration, that would be awesome.
