Las Vegas, NV – Kevin Taylor, 20, was arrested last year on a charge of child abuse with substantial bodily harm after he allegedly shook his girlfriend’s baby. Convicted on the charge, he spent 10 months is a prison work camp and was released on parole. The bastard obviously failed to learn his lesson the first time – this time he’s accused of killing his own 1-year-old daughter, Kaitlynn Taylor. According to the arrest affidavit, on June 4th, police and paramedics were called to Taylor’s home on a report of an unresponsive child. Once at the hospital, doctors discovered Kaitlynn had several broken bones, rib and clavicle, and cerebral bleeding. She was listed in critical condition. Sadly, Kaitlynn didn’t survive her injuries and died a few days later. During questioning, Taylor told investigators he hit the child with a cotton pillow on the bed. He said she began to cry and then just went limp. He attempted to revive her by gently shaking her and pouring water on her. Of course the investigators called bullshit. A cotton pillow isn’t going to cause broken bones and cerebral bleeding, asshole. So Taylor tried again…
He admitted to investigators that he liked to play rough with Kaitlynn. Taylor was handed a doll and asked to demonstrate how rough he was on the child. Grabbing the doll by an arm and a leg, Taylor spoke of how he would swing his daughter around like a merry-go-round and toss her into some pillows which were laid against a wall. He stated that he would push her little head face first into the mattress with enough force that once the pressure from his hand was released, her head would snap back on the recoil from the bed springs. While the child was sitting on the bed, Taylor smacked her forehead with his palm, causing her neck to snap back. He went on to say that he enjoyed tossing the kid up in the air and catching her – maybe her injuries were caused that way? Doubtful, asshole. When a detective asked Taylor why he played so rough with the kid, Taylor replied that he “didn’t want his kids to grow up and be taken advantage of.” Yeah…makes perfect fucking sense. It is unclear why Taylor had unsupervised access to his daughter given his history.
Friends and family members say he didn’t do it. Figures. Even with his past history of abuse, they refuse to believe he’s guilty. Kaitlynn’s aunt spewed forth this little blurb: “I’m the aunt, and my brother didn’t do it!” One of his many roommates had this to say: “His kids come first always. He wouldn’t hurt one of his kids if you paid him to. This was an accident.” He wouldn’t hurt his kids even if you paid him to? What the fuck kind of retarded statement is that? Somebody bitch slap that idiot, please. If this was an accident, who the hell roughhouses like that with a friggin’ baby? Even Kaitlynn’s mother jumped on the tard-wagon and vomited this out of her pie-hole: “There are absolutely no signs that Kevin would hurt a child or any child. He’s a great person a great friend, and a wonderful father.” Taylor obviously likes to surround himself with women on the lower end of the evolutionary scale…that’s all I can figure.
On the other side of the fence, a half-way intelligent friend of his had this to say when interviewed: “(I’ve) never known that he would have done something like that so serious,” said Nicole Brandt. “It’s just babies are so delicate, and you shouldn’t be rough-housing with them. You should be nice… I hope he goes to jail for life, because that’s just something that you don’t do. You don’t kill a little baby.” Yeah! Be. Nice.
Well, maybe all of Taylor’s little nitwits can put their heads together and somehow scrape up the $750,000 it’s gonna cost to get him out of jail.
