Parents Accused Of Sexually Exploiting Their Disabled 9-Year-Old Daughter

Niles, MI – Mark Baldwin and his wife Michelle have managed to slither themselves in quite a predicament. Last month, a concerned citizen alerted law enforcement after seeing a disturbing picture of Baldwin and a young disabled female posted on his Yahoo! profile. Disturbing because both were naked. Even more disturbing is the fact that the child has cerebral palsy. That tip led to an investigation into Baldwin’s skeevy online activities. It appears as though he’s been raping his disabled daughter, capturing the nastiness on camera and posting it on the internet so other sick-minded fucks could revel in the perversion. And if that doesn’t make your stomach churn, chew on this for a second…the child had repeatedly informed a counselor with Child Protective Services that she was being sexually assaulted by her father. Way to fail, CPS! 

After his arrest, Baldwin informed officers that they would, indeed, find child pornography on his computer. Duh? During an interview, he allegedly told officials that he was “collecting evidence against pedophiles online.” Yeah, that bullshit story didn’t fly. Prosecutors wouldn’t say how many images were found, but said it was the nature of the images rather than the number that made the case “more severe.” Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any information on Michelle, other than what she’s being charged with. His Myspace friends list is brimming with half-nekkid women, but based on his ugly mug, I highly doubt his wife is one of ‘em. Both Baldwins are facing three federal counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Mark, 47,  also faces a federal charge of possession of images of a minor. On the state level, Mark is looking at two counts of of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a child under age 13. The girl has been placed in the custody of the state.

    I am not normally one of those posters who says things like “shove a hot poker up his ass and see how he likes it” or “kill him, kill him now”, or “public lynching!!!”, but this is pure evil. It just doesn't get much more fucked up than that. If you are not only a pedophile, but one heartless and sick enough to rape your own daughter suffering from cerebral palsy, then there is no hope for you and no reason for you to live.

    WTF? This poor child reached out for help from THE STATE and was ignored…perhaps there was just too much paperwork to fill out and the lazy ass DSF worker just had better things to do that day! Why can we not hold the state and their employees as culpable as we do individuals? Someone in that office should be in jail as well.

    Applause is in order for whomever saw and reported these pictures/videos. So often we see people turn their backs on these situations! May God be with this young lady and may she find a family who truly loves and cares for her. Hope Daddy is up for Bubba…hell this asshole would probably enjoy it

    I can't believe CPS!!! I've seen CPS get all fired up about good people who were just in the middle of a mud-flingin custody battle, making good parents feel shamed like they're bad parents. But a nine year old disabled girl tells them straight up she' s being raped by her own “father”, and they can't be bothered to do shit?!?!?! Every single worker who ignored this girl should be fired, then prosecuted as accessories.

    It's hard enough to have cerebral palsy without being raped repeatedly. I have a relative with CP, and she was in a similar situation. Her mother kept her out of school, though, and while she was abused in other ways, I am not certain if she was sexually abused along with her sisters, or if they were able to protect her from sharing their fate.

    Yeah. First of all, funding. Ample funding for governmental programs such as SOCIAL SERVICES and for the staffing and training! Second, this funding (way slashed under our last Prez) needs to be well-managed and well-regulated (obviously, federal regulation & oversight is shot to hell in this country, whether the issue is the economy, the environment, or anything else that the gov't should be working to protect in the interests of its citizens. Gah–don't get me started! Shit pisses me of.

    I agree, the system is so stupid at times. My parents are foster parents and they actually care about the children they take care of but as far as CPS goes its hit or miss. Sometimes they return kids so randomly to homes they should never go back to. Its infuriating that the regulations are so useless. This system is necessary to save kids from these sitiuations but it fails too often.

Hooowever the rapist assclown gets my usual 'go die in a fire, you goddamn cunt' anger but the CPS counselor? Oooh, s/he gets much more rage. Seriously, how the fuck can you listen to a child, any child, tell you that they are being raped by their father without doing a fucking thing? Why the fuck take a job in CPS when you don't do anything to -protect- the children in your care? Hell, why take a job in social services if you won't do anything to help the people you get paid to help? Arrrrgh!

    If the child told this counselor about it, that would mean that she had enough trust in s/he to do so. The fucking fuck who raped her? Yeah, he destroyed her trust. The fucking counselor who listened to her and did nothing? S/he only proved that she is right not to trust anyone because no one will help her or believe her. And that is what pisses me off more than anything.

    TL;DR Summary: “Fuck you, rapist. Fuck you, CPS counselor.”

    Has anyone heard where the mother was in all this? If he was posting nude photos on Yahoo for the person who turned him in to see, don't you think she might have seen the same thing, being in the same house perhaps? Maybe she's not in the picture, but I have a hard time believing this guy was the child's only caregiver. I think more people knew about this in the home and did nothing.

    I actually met this dude. I thought he had some electronics I would want to buy. Big mistake! He told me about wanting to get into a 3-way and I split. Dude is strange! Before we met we added each other on yahoo, since he sent me an email. I thought it was odd, but I didn't think it was creepy. Until I checked out his profile. But I thought “What the hell? I'll never see him after I buy the speakers anyway.” I wish I never made the 13 minute drive to that nasty trailer. Creepy as fuck! Seriously!

    Oh, and for the people wondering about the mother, she seemed like she was mentally handicapped also. It was like “The Hills Have Eyes” when I got there, no shit. Right behind Wal-Mart is where their trailer park is. This happened years ago, but I shit you not, I never forgot that name. I thought it was some Dahmer shit about to happen if I didn't get out of there QUICK! Sorry about the rapid repost, but I noticed people talking about the mom. I honestly think she's got some serious mental retardation issues. No joke. It's no excuse, but I think that may be why it was so easy for her to be in the dark.

    The indictment stems from an April 28 call the Michigan State Police received from a citizen who reportedly found a photograph of Mark Baldwin and the girl. The picture, found online on a Yahoo! profile, shows them disrobed together, with Baldwin’s arms wrapped around her, according to the affidavit.

    When police questioned Baldwin about the picture, he reportedly told them he was running an investigation on children victims on the Internet and wanted to “see what’s out there.” He added he was trying to lure child predators out with the picture of the 9-year-old and turn all the evidence over to authorities, including the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, the court documents allege.

    Authorities say Mark Baldwin said there were “numerous” child pornographic images on his computer’s desktop labeled “people.”

    Earlier this month, during an examination of Baldwin’s computer and other digital media, images of the victim in various stages of undress, including completely nude pictures, were found, according to the affidavit.

    Authorities say it included images of the victim engaging in actual or simulated sexual intercourse with Baldwin. In one image, authorities believe sexual intercourse is taking place.

    This is my first time commenting. It is despicable what happened to child. Hell has a special place for him. I hope Bubba has a field with this piece of shit father. I can tell you guys from expereince that CPS isn't worth a shit in most cases. I had to deal with them back in Nov. 2006. My son and daughter were placed in CPS custody after my then 6 year-old daughter wandered away from a babysitter at the library(they went every week for storytime). I was called on my cell and told to come to the library. Even after finding out the entire story; the idiots still wouldn't release my children to me. I almost lost my mind. A CPS worker came into my home and saw that everything was on the up and up. My children' teachers gave raving reviews, as well as neighbors; yet they were still taken away from me for 3 months. Luckily they were placed with my aunt after being with a foster family for 2 weeks. When they were placed back with me; the judge commended me for working so diligently to get them back as fast as I did. The funny thing is my children's guardian ad litem stated from the very beginning that my children should have never been taken in the first place. I hate CPS with a pure passion.

    why is cps always a fucking joke? i mean really….what the fuck are these people doing? i bet most of us readers here on d'd would do a much better job…but then again we would end up facing all sorts of charges of assault and murder…after having to witness any sort of this fuckery.

    either way, shit would get done in a much more efficient (hint hint) manner.

    I blame the CPS counselor who ignored this kid…may he or she rot in hell! So sad when a victim finally comes forward only to be kicked in the teeth. Same thing happened to me as a kid, had a friend stay the night and stepdad tried to involve her in his routine, she flipped and went home next day, only to go to school on Monday and tell the principal what happened. Needless to say when your principal is familiar with your stepdad the response is not the same. She confronted me with report from my friend, I finally(huge step) admitted it only to have her send me back to class to call me back up to the office an hour later with my stepdad standing there to say”Now what was it you said he did to you?” of course my answer was not a damn thing-my friend made it all up. Sad thing is as an adult I read how if a school official even suspects abuse they are required by law to report to CPS…..some kids just get the raw end of the deal….

    I agree. I had a friend in junior high, 12 years old, lived with her dad and stepmom. For punishment they took away her “free lunch” tickets and starved her at home. When she came home from school she had to go into the basement and stay there. Sometimes there was physical abuse too, including a broken arm. She would tell adults that she lost her tickets but she would tell her friends the truth. We finally convinced her to tell a teacher. We picked a teacher and went with her for support. The teacher reported to the Principal who promptly brought in the parents for a meeting. They, of course, denied everything and made her look like a compulsive liar. So that was it. End of story.

    awww that made me cry….never should a child be denied food as disipline…people think I'm nuts cuz if my kids dont want to eat dinner and get up at night hungry, I get up and fix them something cuz that is one thing I definitely believe that children should not have to lay in bed with a hungry tummy
