Couple Accused Of Pimpin’ Out Teen At Truck Stop

Oklahoma City, OK – Police responded to the Petro truck stop Saturday morning after witnesses reported seeing a “black male in a maroon SUV trying to pimp out two very young girls.” One truck driver told police that while he was parked in the lot, a 16-year-old girl knocked on his door and asked him if “he wanted some company.” Officers stopped the SUV in the parking lot and found Michael Blackmon, 42, and Wendolyn Ward, 36, inside the vehicle with six children, ages 9 to 17. According to authorities, Ward is mother to four of the children and aunt to two. Blackmon’s relationship to Ward and the kids hasn’t been confirmed. Both Ward and Blackmon were placed under arrest on suspicion of promoting juvenile prostitution and both being held on $2,000 bail. All six kids were turned over to DHS. Police state that it is unclear whether any of the children, aside from the 16-year-old, were being used as prostitutes. Huh. When my kidlets and I are looking for a little weekend entertainment, we usually head to the amusement park – the truck stop is soooo yesterday…

      Not likely. In all but two states (Nevada & Rhode Island) prostitution is a misdemeanor offense, which carries a lower bond than a felony offense.

      That being said, string the fuckers(can I say that?) up. Split the kids up and give them to kind families who might actually be able to mitigate some of the BS they had to deal with.

Too much of my taxes is going to welfare. I work every day to feed my family and others. Only I can barely afford to feed my family, while the other family I am feeding off my taxes is living large on steaks, name brand foods.. usually 2 baskets worth of groceries… Don't you think there is something wrong with that picture??? All the middle class and lower class workers are gonna get tired of working to take care of everyone else, we all stop working because it is no longer worth it. Now you have 2 classes of people. Really rich and really poor. and if you ain't ALREADY rich, your screwed!! Time to wake up America. start backing illegal immigration laws and get off the welfare so we can maintain a middle class, stop jumping on the bandwagon calling everything a race issue. Start reading about some of the laws Obama has put into place. read up on Socialism. There is too much government, too many taxes,,, come on guys!!!

      Actually, most of your tax dollars go to cover the trillion $ tax cuts for the top 2% richest in the nation. America has always had a “socialist” aspect to its economic system…one that benefits the richest people in the country and the multinational corporations that really “rule” the world. It's called “upwards socialism.” The poor of the country are not the problem, although the richest and most powerful want the middle class to believe that this is so. It benefits the uppermost class–in literal economic ways.

      At the same time, why is this treatise of yours relevant here? This story isn't even about welfare. It's about a couple of complete and utter assholes who pimped out at least one of their children. I'd be perfectly happy to find out they were both dead by the time I finish typing this sentence.

      So, what percentage of federal taxes (or even total dollars) are spent on on TANF, which seems to be what you mean by “welfare”? What's the formula for determining TANF benefits, the average amount of benefits, and/or the limit on eligibility for them?

      Or, too look at it from the other side of your equation, what's the difference between the top personal income tax rate now and the top rate in 1990? (Or 1980, 1970, 1960, 1950?) What about the top marginal rates, or the corporate tax rates?

      And if you can't answer any of these questions, you don't know what's spent, how it's determined, what it's spent on, or even what's collected. So what on earth are your opinions based on?
