Ryan Gifford Accused Of Raping, Beating And Burning Toddler

Westminster, MD - Ryan Gifford hosted a sleep-over at his apartment over the weekend – his guests were his girlfriend and her 21-month-old daughter. At about 10:30 p.m., the toddler’s mother put her to sleep in Ryan’s bed and the couple left the home to walk and get alcohol. Ryan reportedly drank about a half-gallon of white wine before the couple drifted off to sleep. According to the mother, she awoke early Sunday morning and realized the baby was gone. She soon found Ryan and the child locked in the bathroom with the shower running. After much screaming and banging on the door, Ryan let the woman in. She told officers both Ryan and the child were naked. The baby wasn’t just naked, she was bruised and bloodied. Ryan told the woman the baby had blood on her ears, so he decided to give her a shower. He explained the bruises, cuts, blood and swelling on her body as injuries the fussy toddler received when she had fallen down. 

The child was rushed to the hospital and a SAFE exam was conducted to check for possible sexual abuse. Aside from the numerous cuts and bruises, she was also suffering from second-degree burns to her calf and foot. A search of the home turned up blood on Ryan’s bed, his shirt and a pack-and-play. He allegedly told officers it “must have been her blood; I don’t remember anything.” Ryan Gifford, 23, was arrested on Sunday and charged with first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury, second-degree child abuse by a custodian, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Bond has been set at $500,000. The toddler remains in intensive care.

    There may have been other adults in the home – it hasn't been reported that she left the child alone in the residence. And I have to assume that the three of them may have fallen asleep in the same bed, or the child was in Ryan's bed and he and his girlfriend were in another room. Details on this one are a bit sketchy.

    It says in the other article that the mom woke up and realized that the baby wasn't in her pack n' play. So, I'm assuming the mom put the baby to sleep and left the baby in his bed, and when the mom and douche bag went to sleep she put the baby in the pack n' play.

    That being said, kudos to the mom for taking the baby to the hospital and BEFORE killing that mother fucker. However, I'm not sure if I read the linked article correctly, I hope I read it wrong. Did it really say the mother showed up at the hospital to pick up her daughter with her own mother and the douche bag before he was picked by the sheriffs office? If thats the case then I hope she burns in hell as well. (sorry for the ramblings as well as any typos, I am running on 26 hours of no sleep, that would also explain why I might have misinterpreted the linked article)

    Don't feel bad, I didn't realize there was a page 2. It appears as if Gifford accompanied the mother and the child to the hospital and was arrested shortly thereafter.

    What I did miss, however, was the fact that after seeing dickwad and the baby naked in the bathroom, the mother dried the child off, re-dressed her and put her to bed and WENT BACK TO SLEEP. Though the mother supposedly found the child and the dickwad in the bathroom at around 4 in the morning, she didn't get the kid to the hospital until nearly 11:00.

    Even if I was to remarry…actually trust another human being again with my children, I would still NEVER LEAVE MY CHILDREN ALONE with them. It makes life tough…but too fucking bad, we have a responsibility to our children to keep them safe.

Does that mean you are also never going to sleep or step into the front yard when your children and new spouse are home? You don't have to go to the grocery store or out to dinner for something awful to happen.

    My honest answer to that….having been the victim of a crime, and unrealistic as it may sound..no…and I will more than likely never remarry because of it, at least until my children are grown. Do I have trust issues, definitely…but my choices since the crime are the only ones that will keep my children safe.

    My point…however extreme, and definitely fueled by my own experiences, is please be careful. Put your children first, be aware, pay attention and just simply do the right thing.

    I'm glad she did have the presence of mind to wake up, pound on the door, demand her daughter back, and rescue her from the beast; eventually to take her to the hospital when the injuries became very evident (and she was sober enough to recognize them). But I worry that she may never have recognized what this guy was actually doing.

    And she dressed the baby and put her to bed? FUCK! Nail her bitch ass to the wall, too. They both got fucked up when the baby was in her care. She heard her child making unusual noises in the bathroom, screamed and fought to get the door open, saw them both naked in the shower, saw her daughter bleeding, and only took action when the booze wore off and she noticed her child had bruising and swelling in areas that couldn't be hidden. Maybe the court can show a bit of leniency because she *did* bring her baby in instead of covering for him, but she should have had someone else watching her daughter if she and her boyfriend were going to get wasted in the first place!

    As for lover boy, I'd like to be alone with him in the bathroom with a vial of nitric acid. He can stand in the shower and breathe heavily while I make him bleed and inflict damage on his body, too. I won't waste any water on him, though.

    I can relate to what Sodomschild is saying. In todays world, there are too many bad things happening all over the world. We are bombarded with it through the media every day. It makes it very difficult to relate to every sad situation we come across. BUT, there are certain stories that touch everyone's heart. For Sodom, it's bad things being done to children and animals. It's the same way for me. They are innocent and it's a shame that they are exposed to such horrors so young. I wish NO one would ever be raped or murdered or mutilated, but honestly, I would rather it be an adult. I'm a survivor of child crime and maybe that's why I tend to give less of a shit about adults of crime than kids and then again, I have Borderline Personality Disorder and I have a hard time relating to other people's feelings and emotions as it is, let alone my own, but there is something about children and animals (and disabled people) that will always get a tear from me and I think that is their innocence. I still “care” about adult victims, I just care less.

    I just want everyone to know ryan gifford used to be my best friend…we grew up together thru elementary school, and he lives up the street. For all you people that DONT know him, he has had a long history of drug and alchohol abuse, and is severely depressed. NONE of those things excuse the horrific things that he did to that poor baby. As of yesterday, Ive come to find out the piece of shit mother who everyone seems to have sympathy for has had her child taken from her, and given to her parents, What kind of mother wakes up to find her baby girl naked in a locked room with a man that isnt her father, with blood on her, and takes the baby and goes back to sleep? And what kind of mother takes her baby to a mans house shes dating, leaves her alone in the house to get alchohol, and gets drunk, and leaves her baby accompanied by a man she knows to have drank a gallon of wine? In ryans house his bedroom is in the lower level of the house with its own bathroom right across the hall. How do you not wake up when your child is removed from your side? There is too many inconsistancies in their story. I think the mother tried to cover for ryan, untill waking up and seeing the babys swollen face and realizing what that monster did to her baby…. I cant wait till the men in prison get ahold of him and he can see what it feels like to have a big man ripping you and tearing you….     Drunk or sober – makes no fucking difference. If I walked in on a grown man, naked in the shower with my 21 mo. old (or any age for that matter) daughter – if I didn't kill him right then and there – he'd be making his excuses to my fleeing back and then empty air as I whisked my child to the hospital. Once ANY type of abuse was confirmed and my child was safe – there would be a line out the door of people waiting to kill him… with me at the front.     Not in “the family's care”, just the “mother's care.” I am curious as to how big a role the father's family (and the father for that matter) played in this child's life before this happened? Did they also petition for temp custody? If so, and they were denied – that says a whole lot to me.

    Sorry if I am being a bitch – but I abhor “mother's” who won't put their kids first. I have a grown daughter and 4 year old b/g twins… and I would fight, kill and die for them.. as well as my grown sons. When a “mother” behaves in the manner this one did, it creeps into my bones and eats away at me. People like this are what keeps me from coming on here as much as I used to. I can't “shake” them sometimes… and it becomes toxic. I hope this little girl can recover fully with little or no memory of these events. If the breeder gets a 2nd chance, I pray she is watched like a hawk until this child is full grown and able to take care of herself.

    All too often the females in these cases is already pregnant with the current male's baby. Not that it makes much difference even when they aren't, because they get pregnant while awaiting trial; or they get short enough sentences that they get pregnant when they get out. They “replace” the child they lost, and start over again.

His mother is a non working loser. Smokes and drinks all day long. Ryan and his brother used to do the same with their mother. If I were Ryans father, I would have up and left a long time ago. Ryan has a long record, and so does his brother.

    I hope Ryan gets life, b/c I dont know what I would do if I ever saw him again. Sad part, is he is in jail, but seperated from general population. He is on a different floor with the rest of the POS sex offenders.

    Ugh. I have a 10 yr old grandgirl. I’m raising her. And believe me, I do not leave her with any guy, granpa, my son, friend, uncle… I just dont trust any man with her.You dont know what can happen. I also have her super aware of her surroundings so she is safe. Thats the operative word here… safe..and this so called mom did not do this for her baby. If youre going to get fucked up, get the kid to a sitters house. That guy saw an opportunity, and jumped at it.. and then again when she didnt react like she was supposed to, and her baby suffered. What a fucking outrageous mess.

    I think your vested interest in blaming the mother–who screamed and banged on the door and then rushed her child to the hospital–is sickening. She did not leave the child with him. She and her child were staying at his house. The child was sleeping in the bed with them. Then she woke up and he and the child were gone, and she got up to see what was going on. The mom got drunk. Fine. But it is not her “fault” he raped her child. Place blame for this where blame is due. Set aside the fact that you apparently had poor taste in “best friends.”

    It’s not Ryan’s lame parents’ fault he raped a baby anymore than it was the baby’s drunk mom. Ryan–whose ass is hopefully FRYIN under the attention of a horde of jail cell Bubbas–is the only one responsible for what he did. I for one hope that some of the other POS sex offenders decide to do some unwanted “offending” right up his good-for-nothing ass. With any luck, it all somehow ends with him bleeding to death and getting chucked into an unmarked grave.

    I was shocked to read that after this monster did what he did to the child, that the mother dressed her and went back to bed with her!! She had to have known the child was seriously damaged? Didn’t the little girl cry?? What crossed that mother’s mind, that she could go back to bed after seeing the two of them naked in the shower??? When she put the little girl back to bed, was that POS still in the house?? I think the mother should be arrested herself!

    That bitch was covering for him and even was communicating with him in jail.  Since all this happened the WELFARE PRINCESS  (Sara Yelton),  has had a another baby!  That whore does this for a living.  She is an ANIMAL and does not care about her daughter that she allowed to be raped and tortured.  She has made virtually no effort to re-unite with her daughter.  I really don’t know which one is worse.  Ryan for being evil-incarnate.  Or Sara for being a totally careless, emotionless, neglectful moron.  As I said,  less then a year after this horrific event Sara had another baby girl.  How is this allowed to happen…again?  I wondered, when I met Sara: is she just stupid or a real sly bitch?  Yep.  She’s a stupid sly bitch.  I take comfort in the fact that dumb bitches EVENTUALLY reap what they sow.  It may take awhile but it will come to her.  She has ruined her life and is trying real hard to ruin the lives of innocent children…when will the insanity end?

    They will.  Sometimes justice takes awhile. Both these assholes are starting to  reap the rewards of being total fuck-up losers.  Ryan has been sentenced and Sara is systematically fucking up her life slowy but surely.  Sara’s demise will be much slower…but still painful I’m sure.  Dumb people fuck themselves over better then anyone else ever could.  Did I mention Sara had ANOTHER baby girl, less then a year later?  Gee, I’m sure it will be so different this time…She protect this one.  Don’t you think?

    No that’s not a coincidence.  Sara Yelton dated Ryan shortly after Laurie broke up w/ him.  Just another sad fact.  Sara knew Ryan was a violent drug addict when Laurie was dating him.  I guess idiots attract or they had alot in common?  Not sure.
