Craig Wall Sr. Is One Very Twisted Individual

February 17, 2010 at 11:26 am by

Clearwater, FL – On February 5th, 5-week-old Craig Wall Jr. was rushed to the hospital after he went into cardiac arrest while being cared for by his father, Craig Wall Sr. An exact cause of death has not yet been determined, but officials are calling the death suspicious. Even more suspicious was the fact that Craig Sr. had recorded himself on video apologizing for “doing something to the baby.” On February 8th, the child’s mother, Laura Taft, obtained an injunction that forbade Craig Sr. from contacting her not only because she was in fear for her life and the life of her 6-year-old son, but also because of the investigation by police “that Craig Sr. was suspected of being the one responsible for the infant’s death.” Craig violated that injunction on February 14th – the day of baby Craig’s memorial service. On that day, Craig Sr. was seen driving through the church parking lot and Taft reported that he had “flipped her off” before driving away. He was jailed a few hours later, but was released the next day after posting $1,000 bail. And it just gets worse, Demonites. Much worse.

Before dawn this morning, neighbors called 911 to report a commotion coming from Taft’s apartment – when police arrived, they found the 29-year-old woman dead right outside her front door. She had been stabbed to death and witnesses claim to have seen Craig Sr. leaving the area in a red four-door car.  Deputies found him passed out in his car a few hours later and about 50 miles away. He was reportedly unresponsive due to drugs, exhaustion, or a combination of the two. Craig Wall Sr., 34, was forcibly removed from his vehicle and taken into custody. Craig is no stranger to the penal system – he was released from prison in September ’08 after serving 14 years for a ’94 robbery with a deadly weapon, armed burglary and grand theft auto. Hey…here’s an idea. How ’bout we lock this fucker up good and tight now, k? Maybe just throw away that key. Or better yet, hand him a rope, a rusty razor blade and some Drano. And just in case you were wondering, he does have a Myspace just brimming with creepy pics of himself.

His ass tunnel is about to be a “penal system”.

He had everything but a neon sign on his forehead.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Wall has multiple tattoos that include swastikas and “RAHOWA,” an acronym for Racial Holy War. On his left arm is a tattoo of a “Creativity Movement” shield. The Creativity Movement is a white separatist religion founded by Ben Klassen, author of The White Man's Bible

I hope single moms everywhere learn from Taft's tragedy: don't take up with a man who has done prison time for violent crimes. Although he may claim that he has changed, he most likely has only learned new ways to be cruel. I hope they nail this asshole for both murders and give him a ride on the DP express.

Clearwater murder suspect remains unconscious in hospital,,,Last Update: 6:40 pm ,,,,,BUSHNELL, FL — Detectives have not been able to question Clearwater murder suspect Craig Wall because he remains unconscious and hospitalized, a Sumter County sheriff's official said.

Wall was found, in his car, passed out along the side of the road by Sumter County deputies after Clearwater Police put out an alert Wednesday morning. Wall is suspected in the deaths of his five week old son and the boy's mother.

Laura Taft was found dead in her apartment Wednesday morning. A witness told police she saw Wall leaving the apartment complex.

When deputies approached the car they saw Wall lying back in his seat with his eyes closed, said Sumter County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Bobby Caruthers. Deputies broke the driver's-side window to unlock the door and dragged Wall out of the car.

Caruthers said Wall appears to have overdosed on drugs. “We won't be able to arrest him until he wakes up, if he wakes up,” Caruthers said.

Wall is being treated at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Citrus County.

Craig Wall, the ex-convict accused of fatally stabbing his live-in girlfriend and suspected in the death of their 5-week-old son, was transferred Saturday from Citrus County Memorial Hospital to the Sumter County Detention Center, authorities say.

Clearwater police say the ex-convict stabbed his girlfriend, Laura Taft, on Wednesday at her Clearwater apartment, then drove to Sumter County, where authorities there found him unresponsive. He apparently overdosed on over-the-counter sleeping pills, prosecutors said.

A spokeswoman at the Sumter County Detention Center said Wall was being held on a Pinellas County murder charge.

He still hasn't been charged in the death of his son…still awaiting autopsy results.

Oh gawd it gets worse….He kicked in her sliding glass door to get to her. She feared for her life and had an injunction out against him. He's served 14 years in jail already for armed robbery. What the fuck was she thinking?

McCabe and Bartlett cited three problems with how an assistant state attorney handled the case during this hearing. First, he offered to settle the case during this initial hearing without spending more time to gather more facts. Second, he failed to bring up Wall's criminal record. Third, he did not mention that Wall was considered a suspect in the death of his own child.

“What kind of stunned me about the whole thing,” McCabe said, was that the prosecutor offered the plea deal to Wall. That was not the right thing to do in a first court appearance in a domestic violence-related case, McCabe said, because the hearing happens within 24 hours of an arrest, typically before a prosecutor has done much research about the case and has had a good interview with the victim.

“You want to gather all the facts” before making an offer, Bartlett said.

McCabe said a plea arrangement in a first appearance hearing would have been acceptable in a minor shoplifting case, for example, but not in a case with a potential victim of domestic violence.

The assistant state attorney, James Flynn, suggested a deal in which Wall would have been found guilty of the charge, paid $650 and agreed to have no contact with Taft.

But Wall rejected the offer, saying to Circuit Judge George Jirotka, “No, sir, I didn't do anything wrong, sir.”

Because Wall rejected the offer, the next matter was to discuss whether to set bail. He had been held overnight without bail because it was a domestic violence-related case. So next the lawyers discussed whether Wall could be released on bail.

The prosecutor, Flynn, suggested a $2,500 bail — high for a misdemeanor case. The public defender asked for a $500 bail. Jirotka set it at $1,000.

But Flynn did not mention that Wall, 34, was released from prison in September 2008 after serving 14 years for a 1993 robbery with a deadly weapon, armed burglary and grand theft auto.
