Mother Arrested After 2-Year-Old Son Found Locked In Closet

MESA, Ariz. – Corrina May Davis, 21, has been charged with two counts of child abuse after Maricopa County Constable Fred Arnett found her 2-year-old boy locked in a closet. He had shown up at the residence to serve her an eviction notice. “I found the child laying there, basically in the fetal position,” Arnett said. But that’s not all. Court documents say the child appeared to have suffered physical and sexual abuse with “bruising of different colors on both sides of his face, a chipped tooth, a cut and a bruised lip, bruising to his ears, bruising to his hip” and blood coming from his genitals. Arnett was also alarmed by the boy’s response by officials. Or rather, the lack of one. “This child wouldn’t laugh or smile to anything we would do. In any of our attempts to get a reaction out of this child, there was nothing. It’s like he had given up. There was no fight in this child,” said Arnett. Davis admits to locking her son in the closet while she went to work, but denied abusing her son. She told police he is “clumsy” and “walks into walls.     I don't know why I come here daily. It's too fricken draining. That little man was going to give up soon. To think this shit is happening somewhere, to some other precious child, just makes me sick. Don't have fucking children if your not going to take care of them like you should. Holy shit!! They don't ask to be born!! DAMN!! :(

    I know how you feel. I hate these stories. I've had 3 miscarriages and would have given anything to be able to have another child. I'm lucky to have an 18 year old son that I would die to protect. I couldn't even bring myself to spank him. Of course I'd like to torture him now that he's a teenager! Sometimes I think that there should be laws to restrict assholes like this from procreating. I'm a firm believer in mandatory sterilization for parents that abuse their kids.

    Although this is a sad story it's still a happy ending, this child was saved. He could have been dead.

    I'm sorry, I know how you feel. I lost two babies last year. So people like this who take advantage of being able to just get pregnant and have a miracle really piss me off too.

    I have a clumsy kid. She gets scrapes here and there and the occasional bump/bruise but as clumsy as she is she's rarely sporting more than 2 marks. She laughs and smiles all the time.

    I'm so sorry for your losses. Wish I could say you get over it but you don't and when you hear stories like this, it really makes YOUR loss even more profound. I am glad they found him but wonder if he'll ever get over the psychological damage that was inflicted on him. I know he's still a baby and I hope that this fades from his memeory and he can laugh again.

    This is not the first run-in Corinna Davis has had with law enforcement. According to court records, bruising to the boy's face was previously investigated. Davis said the bruises came from a fall down the stairs.

    While she calls herself a proud mother on one website, another lists her as an escort. She calls herself “Barbie” on Myspace and in another ad on backpage.com filed under adult entertainment and escorts.

    Davis also posted several pictures on the website, some are graphic in nature. The ad says she accepts donations and her rates are firm. She also claims she is not a prostitute but asks you to certify you are not a part of law enforcement.

    Davis is on house arrest at her father's home and declined comment. 3TV spoke with her boyfriend in regard to the escort advertisement. He says Davis wanted to be a model and responded to an ad on Craigslist. He also says she was taken advantage of and is not an escort.

    In the meantime her son is safe with Child Protective Services.

    You know, they had better not give this boy back to the bitch after all he has been through. This is the biggest mistake DFS makes. A rare few parents ought to be able to get their kids back after they are taken by the state. Haven't we learned anything??

    She wanted to be a model? To be frank, I've had boils on my butt that are more attractive than she is. Then again, my view of her “beauty” is tainted by what she did to her son. She may claim that he's clumsy, but clumsy kids who aren't being abused don't act or react the way the little boy is reported to have acted…and unless he sat on a knife or something, there's no friggin' way he could have gotten those injuries to his genitals just by being clumsy.

    My mom put her 3 kids down for a nap and laid down herself. My little brother, at 2 years old, unlocked the front door, took off his diaper and walked up to the store, and sat in the floor and ate tootsie rolls. He was gone 15 minutes before she woke up and was frantic. He was put in foster care for a week. He was given back. But I agree. That is the 1 example I can think of that the kids should have gone back home. This woman doesn't deserve this child.

    this demon needs TO DIE REAL FUCKIN SOON. she did this to a baby a precious little baby. this makes me vomit. these demons, and the child molesters and rapist need to die so they can never walk in our world ever again. what in the hell was she thinking? this baby didn't ask to born or asked for this to happen to him. my heart melts for all or the children in the world that has suffored some kind of abusse at the hands of their parents or at the hands of another. i wish i had this island to take all of these children to and take care of them and show them that there is some that will love and take care of them and NEVER EVER HURT THEM AGAIN. this is the childeren need. i am a mom of 2 and would never even have those thoughts in my head to do this to my kids or someone eles. that lady makes me sick. she needs the eletric chair instead of prison. i wish i could be the only judge and jury she had bc she would be sentenced to die that day and it would be caried out that day . as for the little man that suffer this my heart is with you and hopefully you can learn to love, laugh ,grow and trust again. i hope his phsyological state recovers.. thank god and the constable that found him this baby didn't die, bc god knows if she would have ever been cought of thic inmoral ans disgusting crime she endured on her own flesh and blood. imagine what he probably went through from the day he was born. she should have gave tis baby up for adaption to some that would have been grweats parents to him. i know if that was me which it never will i would have gave my girls to a family that would have taken care of them and gave them the love the deserve. atleast he safe now and awat from her her a nd learn to be a little boy with out the abuse and now he will finally get to know what real love feels like for the rest of his aslong as he will be able to accept it. i hope he grows up to be a wounderful man, husband and father. i have faith that he will

    That is one of the saddest things I have ever read. I hope that he's not so broken that he can't be fixed with love.

    Is it not the SADDEST thing that the so-called “hero” here, the West Mesa Constable Fred Arnett should have showed up AT LEAST 18 (if not 23) days sooner?!? Constables are supposed to go to apartments WITHIN 5 DAYS of issuance. Issuance occurred on January 7th, 2010. Constable Arnett did not even show up until January 28th, 2010! Who knows how much suffering this little tyke could have avoided had the Constable not ignored the duties of his elected office…
