Man Kills His Brother After Fight Over Who Could Use Bathroom First

Alton, Texas – Zachariah Dee Robinson Hooper, 20, and his brother 22-year-old Jeremiah Hooper had gotten into brawls before, including a knife fight a couple of years ago in which neither men filed charges. But on Tuesday morning the two brothers got into an argument that turned fatal after fighting over who could use the bathroom first. The family intervened and broke the pair up, but shortly after they heard a gunshot. Jeremiah Hooper then ran out of the home holding his neck where Zachariah had shot him with his revolver. Jeremiah was taken to the hospital by his mother and Zachariah, but later died from the wound. “Why it even reached this point…accelerated to the point of pulling out a gun and shooting him, it’s unbelievable,” said Sheriff Treviño. Zachariah Dee Robinson Hooper has been charged with murder.

You know, I had this very same fight with my brother and we weren't too much younger than these guys. It came close to being a knock-down-drag-out (I had to get ready for a wedding rehearsal therefore I had the greater need – imo), but amazingly enough, we are both still alive…..go figure.

Then again, I'm a little baffled that two adult men would get into a violent fight over the bathroom. How many people lived in the house, and how many bathrooms did they have?

I'm not even sure that this was in English. How I long for the days when schools weren't teaching tests and parents actually paid attention to their kids' schoolwork! (I know some still do, and their kids usually excel in school in spite of NCLB).

But anyway, I gather that this young person is the cousin of the deceased and his murderer, and he is of the opinion that his cousin didn't mean to kill his brother. (Every bathroom I've ever visited has a gun next to the soap dispenser, so it's not like it took any effort or forethrought to find the gun and shoot his brother.) This young person feels that we have no business chastising his cousin for killing his brother, and this young person also feels that our backsides are both victims of the obesity epidemic and are engaging in sexual intercourse with women who have had children. This young person requests that we no longer have any sort of conversation about his cousin. After all, “he didn't mean to.”

And to that I say, “If you don't want us to talk about your family, don't let your family do stupid things that land them in the news and on websites like this one.”

Thanks for that translation. Wasn't sure what that inbred “mouther fucker” was trying to say. Why is it that the most ignorant and illiterate family members always have to get on here and post? Are they considered the smartest so are then elected to be the family spokesperson?As far as I'm considered, him killing his brother should make him eligible to win the Darwin award.

All of you are fucked up. This was a real person that was killed, no matter his background or intelligence. I'd like to see you say these things to his mother, who has lost both of her sons, or his sister, who is grieving the loss of two brothers. A dirt nap? Have we really stooped this low as a race? I wish you the worst, and hope that once your sheltered lives approach suffering, that your coping mechanisms are sparse, and the support you receive is a reflection of your comments posted here.

But you know what, if you bothered to read, you would know that the vast majority of our posts on this board are to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Whether they be dead, injured, or an innocent child.
