Houston, DE - After his girlfriend’s two teens were brutally attacked, Wayne Jones tried to convince the cops he and the children had been jumped. His version of the story went a little something like this – at around midnight last Friday evening, Wayne decided to take the kids, a 13-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl, out for ice cream. But first he had to stop at his parents’ home and borrow some money. While there, he noticed the front door of a vacant house next door was open and he decided to investigate. It was then, he said, that he was attacked by a couple of unknown suspects. When the kids entered the home looking for him, they, too, were attacked. The unknown suspects fled the vacant home after beating the shit out of everyone, Wayne put the kids in the car and drove around for an hour looking for help. Hmmm…even if I didn’t know the outcome of this story, I’d still think that story had a strong odor of bullshit surrounding it. And, I’d be right…
Rightfully suspicious of Wayne’s tall tale, authorities dug deeper. After collecting evidence at the home and speaking with the teen girl, Wayne was arrested. Her version of events was quite different – the girl called police around 2:00 Saturday morning to report that she and her brother had been beaten. She told officers that Wayne took her and her younger brother to a vacant home next to his parents’ house and Wayne entered the home with the boy. After the two had been the house for quite some time, she set out looking for them. She said Wayne told her that her brother was playing in the living room – when she went to look for him, Wayne hit her in the back of the head with a blunt object, most likely a hammer. Wayne then allegedly dragged the kids to his car, drove to an apartment where he formerly lived, and raped the girl – telling her that he would hurt her family if she told anybody.
The 13-year-old boy is hospitalized in critical condition suffering from skull fractures and open head wounds. The girl is being treated for skull fractures, lacerations to her head and body, and a broken left hand. Wayne Jones, 38, was charged with two counts of attempted murder, second-degree rape, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threatening and possessing a deadly weapon during a felony. He is being held on $106,500 cash bail. Hope you choke on your own forked tongue. Dick.
