Garrett Andrew Douglas Really Loves His Grandma. Often.

Vero Beach, FL – The repugnant little bastid you see to the left is 20-year-old Garrett Andrew Douglas. He is gracing the pages of the Dreamin’ Demon because he raped his mentally defective 87-year-old grandmother. Repeatedly. Beginning when he was just a boy of 12, he has forced himself upon the woman more than 20 times in the past 8 years. The woman, who has been diagnosed with dementia, remains blissfully unaware that her young kin has been using her body to get his rocks off. Her family says that in her diminished capacity, she is not able to fully understand what is going on around her. And, for that, everyone should be thankful. Garrett’s repugnant little secret was brought to light on December 29, when he was caught, butt nekkid and laying on top of his grandmother, by someone who had looked in on the woman. Kudos to that someone, and good luck scrubbing that image out of your brain. After his arrest, Garrett told officers that he knows what he did was wrong and he’s sorry. Garrett is being held on charges of incest and attempted sexual battery on a mentally defective victim – bail was set at $15,000. As much as the little puke disgusts me, I snortgiggled when I saw this comment on his Myspace profile: “Garette bro what’s good minute u got a girl now bro that’s what’s up I heard good things about you bro keep it up man.” Yeah, I laughed. Cause I’m fucking weird like that.

    It took a moment to dawn on me this kid had been at it for a while. The worst thing that could have happened here is if they brought a charge against the grandma for child rape.     We might not know your granny, and we might not know your brother, but there are plenty of us who have had to deal with dementia in some closer or more distant way, and it is an absolute horror. That person, who is important to you and who played an important part in your life, slowly but inexorably turning into an empty husk with no knowledge of you and no memory of any of the things you did together. It is soul-destroying, and both you and your parents have my deepest sympathy.

    What I do not understand is how your brother could take advantage of your granny in her enfeebled state. Did she think he was her husband, restored to her after an inexplicable absence? She might have been delighted; but it is still a terrible breach of trust and care on your brother's side. In fact, what he did sickens me. I don't care if she asked. He knew she was not of sound mind.

    I hope your family find a way to deal with this that does not cause your granny too much anxiety.
