Two 10-Year-Old Boys Charged With Raping 8-Year-Old Girl

Hayes, West London - Yup, you read that right. Back in OctoberOctober reviewsOctober reviews an 8-year-old girl came home and her parents that she had been raped by two 10-year-old boys in a park off College Way. The two boys appeared in Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court and have been bailed until January 28th. They each face two counts of rape of a female under the age of 13. If either of these two boys are convicted for what they have been accused of, they will be the youngest rapists in Britain. Beating out Kyle Abdo who was 11 when he attacked a 9-year-old girl during a game of hide-and-seek at his home back in 2004 and the 11-year-old boy who attacked a 7-year-old girl during a drunken truth-or-dare game earlier this year. The youngest person ever suspected of rape in Britain was 8-years-old, but because of his age, police were not able to do a damn thing about it as children under the age of ten are not considered to have reached an age where they can be held responsible for their crimes.     Not to trivialize what could possibly have been a serious altercation, but as some people have noted this may have been more innocent than the initial article states. In fact, The Daily Mail is notorious for sensationalizing items. It's essentially a tabloid.

    Of course, I remember doing stuff like this when I was a kid. Seems times really have changed now, though. I've even heard cases where people under the age of 18 trading risque pictures of themselves are arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.

    I'm glad I'm an adult now.
  • A good clarification to make, Morbid, and, in fact, depending on the area, one could conceivably be charged with rape even if it WAS consentual, as children that age are unable to consent. The question is, how anal is the prosecuting attorney?

    The fact of the matter is, in our constant effort to preserve the innocence of our children, we create the potential to criminalize totally natural behavior. Not saying that's what this is, but it'll happen one day if it hasn't already.

    How about getting to the discovery of wherethe children learned to rape?


    They didn't have to "learn" it to have done it. Rape doesn't always mean sexual intercourse. They could have stuck a stick or some other foreign object in her. Not going to get into any detail, but when I was younger than 10, me and this girl my same age used to play "doctor" in her backyard. She used to let me put stuff in her like small sticks and blades of grass.

    Nothing sexual about it, just checking out each others equipment is all. But had she went back and told her parents I did it without her consent (and in Britain, been 10-years-old or older) I could have been charged with rape as well. That's not to say that what these two boys did was innocent curiosity, just saying it also doesn't mean there was a gang-bang going on in the sand box.

    If there has ever been a rehabilitate and not incarcerate application this is it. How about getting to the discovery of wherethe children learned to rape? Is it smart to stigmatize these kids and the victim with an international crime story? Ok, maybe its a hard secret to keep, but man, these kids are ruined for life. How do you get past the part "my first rape was at 10 years old". ?

    I think this crime should be reserved for attackers older than their victim. Then again how do you apply felonies to children.
    all that being said they got some serious bragging rights for their prison career.
