Omaha, NE – I gotta tell ya, I visited Kyra Gates’ Myspace profile to see if could find anything of value to add to this story – I was there for about two minutes, tops. I am now partially blind and mostly stupid. But, because I am a saintly woman and hope to spare you from the seizure inducing background, I put my mad copy and paste skillz to work and give you this, from her About Me section – ” i feel that im a very good mother and a devoted friend. i love to party and get drunk as possible. if you like what ur hearing so far log on to me.” Now, let’s think about that first sentence for a minute, shall we? If, indeed, she were a ‘very good mother’, chances are her mug wouldn’t be gracing our awesome website. Right? Right. Kyra is here today because she is accused of punching her 10-month-old baby in the face, causing the child’s nose to bleed. When the cops arrived on scene, Kyra refused to hand over the bloodied baby. Instead, she held the child in her left arm and attacked the officers, punching and scratching, with her right. Feisty, huh? I did hope to read somewhere that she was tased once the baby was safe, but no such luck. Kyra Gates, 25, was booked on charges of child abuse/neglect, assault on an officer, assault, criminal mischief, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
