Shawnee, OK- I’ll admit, I never have been what you would call a thrill-seeker. My life is utterly boring compared to most. I am not a big fan of roller-coasters. Extreme sports like rock climbing and paragliding scare the crap out of me. And I sure as hell will never freaking ever jump from a tall structure with an elastic cord tied around my ankles. Call me a chicken-shit. I don’t care. I’m just not a risk-taker. Mindy Renee Jones seems to be one, though. Except Mindy believes drinking and driving is a way to have a pretty good time. I think she’s just plain stupid and she is just another bitch who proves that not all beauties are equipped with brains.
Early last Friday morning, Jones, 28, was arrested after she clipped another car with her vehicle and then tried to drive away. Jones was arrested for driving under the influence and, even though she was not hurt, she was taken to a hospital for a routine drug and alcohol test. Jones was placed in an examination room and after she appeared to have “passed out”, the officer left her and went up to the front desk to check on something. Little did he know that Jones had been playing opossum, and the next thing the officer heard was a hospital security guard yelling at him that Jones was on the run. I’m guessing this was when the officer realized he should have handcuffed the bitch to the hospital bed, passed out or not.
Before anyone could stop her, Jones hopped into an unlocked ambulance left running outside the hospital and drove off. Shawnee police called the patrol and reported the stolen ambulance. A trooper spotted the ambulance on Interstate 40 and followed it until Jones finally pulled over and parked in the front yard of a house in Del City. Jones told the troopers she was going to Del City to see an ex-boyfriend, but did not disclose why she needed to see him. Jones was once again arrested and charged on complaints of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and attempting to elude police. She is also facing complaints of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, transporting an open container of alcohol, and larceny. The ambulance, which is valued at $150,000, had some scratches on the hood as if it was driven underneath low tree branches. It was returned back to the hospital crew for service.The Emergency Medical Service Director said they are now taking steps to make sure nothing like this happens again.
