KINGSTON, Massachusetts – Some people are rightfully pissed that Joseph Gardner, 26, was arrested over the weekend for raping a 3-year-old. The outrage stems not only from the rape allegation, but because Gardner was out on bail after being indicted for raping a 6-year-old girl in August. After Gardner’s indictment in the first rape case, prosecutors requested a high bail of $150,000, but Judge Joseph M. Walker III denied that and kept the bail at $10,000 allowing Gardner to remain free. Now, a month and half after being released from jail he is being charged with raping the 3-year-old daughter of a woman he was dating. He denies raping the first girl, although he had broken into the home and there was a 10-year-old present who gave a graphic account of the incident, and claims that this second charge is being made from a mother trying to extort money from him.
