Lura Fisher Wants Better Grades From Her Daughter

Eleanor, W.Va. - Lura Jo Fisher was upset with her fifth-grade daughter’s recent grades. It’s a problem many parents face. I’ve always found that extra guidance and occasional grounding worked well to improve my kids’ grades. Fisher’s approach to the problem is far different than mine. On December 1st, the upset Fisher twice ordered her daughter to stand outside for 15-20 minutes causing the upset kid to puke. The girl says her mom made her carry the vomit to the bathroom with her hands. Then as she was walking upstairs to take a shower, Fisher told her she was walking too slowly and shoved her. The girl said her mother then grabbed her, flipped her head between her knees and whipped her approximately 20 times with a belt. Fisher continued by slapping the girl, leaving red marks and welts, and ordering her to go take a shower. At about 10:00 pm, after the shower, she was finally told to go do her homework. The next morning, a teacher noticed the girl was upset and talked to her. The girl spilled her guts and showed the teacher the bruising, welts, and red marks on her body. The teacher then contacted the school counselor, who called authorities. Lura Fisher has been charged with child abuse resulting in injury and domestic battery. She’s also been suspended from her job as (ironically) a kindergarten teacher who also teaches multiple subjects and special education classes. The “not good enough” grade? It was a “B”.

good god- Ms. Fisher I would give you a B for being a bitch from hell. I remember the belt and screaming from a bad grade-I will never do that to my kids-praise can go a long way.

This woman works with children who need that little extra support That just Boggles my mind. I pray this youngster has family that has a brain that will care for her and raise her properly.
I hope Mom gets a cell with someone who had a really BAD experience with a teacher as a child and that her Cell mate decides to punish this cow for her own past experience as well as the experience of this child

Hopefully this girl get’s out, but I doubt it.

I don't know about that--the fact that she did what it took to change things (went to the teacher) bodes well...

I've adopted five kids, and if any of them brought home a B as a LOW grade, I would be so thrilled I'd probably croak on the spot. Some days I feel like I've seen it all, and then I come visit DD.....

I was whipped, and beaten with belt buckles, garden hoses, and boards, beyond belief for bad grades (D's, and F's), and for just about anything else mamma wanted to spank me for. She even passed out from fatigue while beating me. But now I have no kids, and don't use violence, or beatings even on my pets. Hopefully this girl get's out, but I doubt it.

I hope this bitch never gets custody of this child again. I also hope they do a full psychological profile on her before she’s given the chance to teach again. She definitely has some anger issues she needs to work out.

The “not good enough” grade? It was a “B”

I remember 2of my siblings and I used to get disappointed looks from our parents over B's but my oldest brother (the slacker) got the royal treatment over a B or a C. One of the downsides to getting good grades but gees this woman had the worst reaction ever. I would think a Kindergarten teacher would be last demanding. She spends her day with kids that eat glue and stick crayons in their nose.
