Death Wants Shannon Broome

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - This is a story that sounds like it came from one of the “Final Destination”Final Destination reviews
films. Back in June, 15-year-old Shannon Broome was involved in an SUV roll-over that claimed the life of four of her friends while on a trip to the beach. On the last day of school, nine students climbed into an SUV driven by 15-year-old Brandon Hodges. While on I-295, the SUV blew a tire and rolled, ejecting all the occupants except for Hodges. Shannon was one of the lucky occupants who survived, suffering a broken leg (read all the news4jax reports on that accident). Now almost 6 months later to the day, Shannon is back in the hospital after suffering injuries from another crash involving an SUV, one that plowed through her bedroom as she lay sleeping. Police have charged 19-year-old Steven Nicholas Bryant with careless driving after he admitted he lost control of his vehicle while texting. Broome suffered non-life-threatening injuries including a broken pelvis and ribs as well as re-breaking the leg that was broke in the I-295 crash.
