Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone…

…and, according to Chris Pesto, it ain’t the woman in the corduroy skirt. On November 18th, the unfortunately dressed woman, Michelle Defario, and her father, Jim, headed up to Syracuse University to preach some hate. See, Michelle and Jim belong to an organization called the Open-Air Complainers, er… I mean, “Campaigners”, an Evangelical group that spews their ignorance in public places. Initially, they went generally unheeded. But that was until Chris, a junior drama major, and all around rockstar, noticed them after leaving voice lessons. “I decided that because this woman thought it was okay to make me feel uncomfortable in my home, I would retaliate and make her feel just as uncomfortable, if not more,” Chris recalled in a statement. So he grabbed some poster board, a couple of markers and went to town. It wasn’t long until he attracted the kind of crowd Michelle and Jim only hoped to attract. People were asking for pictures with him, honking their horns in support – some even showed up with counter protest signs of their own.

But it didn’t stop there. Chris’ show of courageous hilarity attracted the attention of a news station, several student organization papers and the Post Standard of Syracuse. Perhaps most importantly, the administration of Syracuse University recognized the will of their student body and informed the Defarios that they were no longer welcome on school property. Best of all, Chris proved that you don’t have to be ugly about things – snarky works just fine. So, here’s to Chris, and to the hope that drama-majoring, voice lesson-taking, Converse-rockin’ gay dudes lead protests more often. I might show up to one on occasion.

We have asses like this woman on our campus frequently, although I've yet to see a woman.

The kid with the "corduroy skirts" sign knows the Bible better than the wingnut moron!

Deuteronomy is clear that men lying with men is wrong, and that wearing clothing of mixed fibers is wrong. They are both "sins." Or so Deuteronomy says.

He's pointing out in a clever and subtle way that the wingnut is a freaking ignorant hypocrite and a fraud, just like everyone else--and I do mean everyone else--who holds up a sign like the one she's holding up.

Michelle should just go home, take that sinful corduroy skirt off, and screw her dad--the Bible makes clear THAT is fine and dandy; Lot was a righteous dude, the only one supposedly saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and yet he got wasted and impregnated his daughters. Michelle, please enjoy screwing your dad!

Why do gay people have to ruin everything…

Thank you for a much needed laugh! And very apropos as I just got out of a diversity seminar which was advertised as "An educational opportunity to help us understand Sexual Orientation, Gender and Transgender Identity." I'm having a very "gay" day! lol

And no one was wearing a corduroy skirt. ;)

IRL trolling at it's finest. Perfect.
  • Reminds me of a Jehovah Witness who once told me they don’t like Halloween because they don’t like strangers knocking on their door.

    Buahahahaha! Oh, that's rich. :P

I have been enlightened…no more corduroy skirts for me. Thank you!

I know, right? When a gay man is giving free fashion advice, who am I to turn it down?

In the source article, Jim Defario is quoted as saying, ”We have free speech in this country, but you don’t have the freedom to not be offended.”

    Yep. I couldn't agree more.

This is a great idea! Reminds me of a Jehovah Witness who once told me they don’t like Halloween because they don’t like strangers knocking on their door.
