Three Students Charged With Attempting To Poison Teacher

WALTHAM, Massachusetts – A police investigation concluded that on the morning of NovemberNovember reviewsNovember reviews 12th three McDevitt Middle School students, two 13-year olds and a 12-year old, put some sort of cleaning solution in their teacher’s water bottle. Luckily, the teacher could smell the solution in the water before drinking it and reported that her water bottle had been tampered with. Police were called and eventually, all three students were charged with attempted poisoning and were suspended indefinitely. Superintendent Peter Azar feels  the term “poison” was an exaggeration, that the drink had only been “tampered with.”  He doesn’t feel the kids tried to do malicious damage to  the teacher. You know, by putting cleaning fluid in her water. Obviously they had hoped that by her drinking ammonia, it would make her happy.

This above post says it was amonia and that shit will eat your esophogus, stomach lining, etc. It is deadly and that superintendant is an IDIOT to try and sugar coat what the assholes did. I was thinking along those lines too Dr....that it is a private school and they are doing damage control. SMFs!

Based on Superintendent Peter Azar's idiotic comment I'm going to guess the school is in a community that is upper-middle class and mostly white. I just can't see a superintendent risking the wrath of the teacher's union unless he feared upsetting influential parents by actually holding kids accountable for their deeds.

Shame on him for attempting to minimize their moronic attempt to harm their teacher - quite a strong message he's sending.

i attended a school where a student put bleach in their teachers coffee, she drank it, was immediatly hospitalized, the student went to jail, and the class that witnessed him do it and didnt report it were all suspended. zero tolerance. where is it at in this situation? but "tampered with" its not like he put sugar in the water and im pretty sure cleaning solution specificly says not to injest and by 12-13 you've already learned to read. its sad to think this type of shit happens to our teachers.

I wonder if he’d felt the same way if it was his morning coffee they “tampered with.”

This is awful and I am so glad the teacher smelled something and didn't drink it. These 3 assholes don't realize how fortunate they are that nothing happened to her.

Thats bullshit..these kids should be expelled. Period.

As 13 year olds they are certainly old enough to understand what they were doing even if not old enough to understand the repercussions.

That superintendent is stupid. These kids tried to hurt this teacher and it should be dealt with seriously!!
