Brothers Jailed For Sexually Abusing Two Girls For Years

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – It’s bad enough for a 5-year-old girl to be sexually abused by one guy. For her to be sexually abused by the person she went to for help and protection? Hella bad luck. The little girl went to Eldirdeery Mutasim, 24, for protection after she had been raped by his brother, Al Mutasim Mutasim, 35. Some help he turned out to be, as he decided to join in on the fun. This abuse continued for 9 years. When she got older, she installed a lock on her bedroom door preventing the attacks. Did the brothers-in-crime give up? Of course not! They simply turned their attention to a 12-year-old they also had living with them. She came to Scotland without her father and they took full advantage of her vulnerability. The brothers, who came from Sudan, denied the charges claiming that they were made up for revenge purposes. I guess the jury didn’t buy it, finding them both guilty. Eldirdeery was jailed for 10 years while Al Mutasim was jailed for 5. Not long enough for this scum if you ask me.

They mention why the 12-year-old was living with them, but I still have not read why the 5-year-old was. Some reports state they did not speak out about the abuse because of the shame it would bring their families, so I am assuming there may be some family relation? Anyone know?

Crime sucks, but I really hate when crime includes taking advantage of the vulnerable or a vulnerable situation. That is a new low.

It is common in Muslim culture to not speak of things like being raped, because you as a victim will also be persecuted by, of all things, your family for having shamed them. There are alot of women in Iran and other Middle Eastern countries who have been stoned to death after having been raped. Unfortunate, but it is Sharia Law. And yes even as young as 8. sick sick, and something I still can't wrap my head around. BTW the catholics in South America aren't much better. An 8 year old was excommunicated for having an abortion after having been raped. The birth of the child would have killed her. The rapist is still a member of the church.
