Suspect In Custody In ‘Cathouse’ Star’s Death

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma police say the suspect in the deaths of four people has turned himself in. 28-year-old David Allen Tyner surrendered to the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and now faces six murder charges. He is a suspect in the deaths of Jennifer Lynn Ermey, Casey M. Barrientos and Millie Barrera and 22-year-old Brooke Phillips – one of the prostitutes featured on the HBO reality series “CathouseCathouse reviewsCathouse reviews.” On November 9, their bodies were found in a burning home where Phillips and Barrera had been shot to death – Phillips was shot six times. Both women were pregnant (hence the six murder charges.) A motive is not known at this point, but Tyner supposedly knew one of the victims. There may be more arrests to come as police do not feel Tyner acted alone. Radar Magazine has a lot of articles about this case and it looks like Phillips hung out with a pretty rough crowd. I’m not familiar with Phillips or the show “Cathouse” and I’m lazy. Anyone care to enlighten?

This is really sad. Brooke was one of my favorites on Cathouse. Smart, funny, and no fake boobs. She dated the owner of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch for a few years, but he's kind of a jerk, and I was glad they broke up. Maybe it would have been better if she'd stayed at the ranch... :(

    Any word on motive?

The show Cathouse is basically a doc about the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada.A whore house to put it bluntly.I tried to watch it a few times but whores and pimps don't excite me too much.
I find it hard to feel anything for these people.Sell your body and this type of thing happens........
  • Sell your body and this type of thing happens……..

Well I don't think working at a legal whore house = being shot six times and then have your body burned beyond recognition. But yeah, it's like strippers in the clubs. Not all of them, I'm sure. But all the ones I know have always had a circle of friends that were of the criminal variety. The whole "birds of a feather" thing at work I guess.

So yeah, I guess it is safe to assume that while working as a prostitute - on HBO or not - doesn't automatically mean you will end up murdered...I'm sure it doesn't decrease your chances. They said she used to date a drug dealer at one time, although "she never used them."

Forgive me for saying so but you need a reality check. Is acting the part of a whore on a show the same as "selling your body"?
Nothing excites? porn , no anything that's not pure and virginal? Good luck not becoming a pedo with that attitude.

She wasn't acting. She really <del>is</del> was a prostitute.

To be fair, he said a television show about whores and pimps do not excite him. On that front, I am in agreement.

Never heard of Cathouse and I watch a lot of reality TV. This is sad.

OMG you are kidding. Don't they make really good $ on those shows? She still didn't deserve death and the fetuses either but are you messing with my head Morbid. No no you wouldn't do that. Why?
Looking for more info now. Please post updates .Sorry White Manson but she nor the babies deserved death.
  • mopar
That came out wrong too! I am not saying you implied they did. Let me just hush for now.
  • absinthe
any word on the father's identity?
  • White Manson
Mopar,I never said they deserved death.I said"I find it hard to feel anything for these people."I'm not going to waste perfectly good emotions on people that put themselves in a situation like that.I feel a bit for the unborn but that's it.If you put yourself in a circle of dealers and gangsters. You better be ready for a bullet, rape, arson or slavery.Real simple, cut and dried. You can call me future pedo all you want.Watch that shit in the real world though.Don't use it as your"go to insult"in a bar or a street corner. You just might end up as a story on The Demon!!
  • White Manson
I'm going to hush as well!Nice to meet you Mopar!!!
  • Anna B.
So, because I work at a bar, I should expect to suffer a drunken beat down, and no one will cry for me? Or because I live in a bad part of town, where drug dealers reside in houses near me, if I'm murdered because someone breaks into my house for my husband's back and heart meds, no one should care because I put myself in this position?
  • i was really shocked to hear this. only because i thought when Brooke left the ranch
(yes, ok- i'm busted, i watch that show sometimes. hush!)
that she would get her happy ending. especially being pregnant I really thought many things would change for her. she seemed to be a sweet kid in spite of working at the ranch.

i wonder if the father is Dennis??
because that is when/why she left the ranch. she was pregnant & plus
Brooke wanted more from Dennis and thats a big 'no no' in his world.
    btw- he is GROSS!!!

Thankyou Whit Manson. I apologize and it's nice to meet you too.

I still think it's sad, people like this don't deserve to die. Just because they aren't engineers or bankers shouldn't make them lower on the pole of society. The guy and/or others that did this are cowards and I hope they are severly punished.
  • angela
I don't think anyone is saying they deserve to die...BUT if you run around with a rough crowd (drug dealers etc), your chances of something like this happening is greater then an engineers or bankers. I liked her on that show to (I've only seen about 3 or 4 of them) I wonder who's kid it was?
  • hannahblu
I won't go so far as to say that I feel nothing for them. I feel bad for any decent human being whose life is stolen from them. But prostitution--HBO or not--is a high-risk lifestyle. Whether you're a two dollar whore or a high end callgirl (callboy, for politically correct *cough* equal time), you're still putting yourself at heightened risk. If that's the dice you want to throw, knock yourself out. But make no mistake-- you are tossing dice in a big way. This time, someone lost.
  • 10K worth of jewelry missing from one of the victims. Don't know if this is being considered a possible motive yet or what:

  • For anyone wanting to see Brooke auditioning to be a prostitute, radaronline has exclusive video of it.

I never really considered Tool as strippin' music, I'm impressed.

    Well, that's messed up.
  • sugarglider
...and I say that even though I think anyone who would date Dennis Hof is an idiot. I find that fact more nasty than her working as a prostitute. But I don't care if she's a prostitute or dated a POS like Dennis Hof (Bunnyranch owner). She didn't deserve what happened to her.
