Ronald Thornton Is A Dirty Old Man

South Daytona, FL - I meant to get this story up yesterday, but my computer is suffering from a severe case of constipation. So, here I am a day late and always a dollar short. The grizzled old perv staring back at ya today is 56-year-old Ronald Thornton. While visiting his son’s home last SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews evening, Ronald got a hankerin’ for a piece of his granddaughter’s 7-year-old friend. At some point during the visit, Ronald allegedly entered his granddaughter’s bedroom, grabbed her little friend by the wrist, and whisked the child off to the bathroom, locking the door behind him. Meanwhile, Ronald’s son, Jason Thornton, became alarmed after he witnessed the child quickly vanish behind the bathroom door. Thinking there was something wrong with the child, Jason knocked on the door and asked the little girl if she was ok. The kid didn’t answer, so he asked again. This time, he heard the voice of his father coming from behind the locked bathroom door. “We’ll be out in a minute,” he said.

When Ronald and the child exited the bathroom, Ronald told his son he was going home. At that time, Jason asked the girl if anything had happened in the bathroom, to which the girl answered no. However, when asked a second time after Ronald left the home, the girl asked Jason if he could keep a secret. She then told him that while in the bathroom, Ronald made her hold his penis while he inserted his finger into her vagina. Ugh. Get. A. RopeRope reviewsRope reviews.

Jason then called the child’s mother and the police. Ronald Thornton is now being held without bond, charged with sexual battery of a child under 12. Because it will be brought up, it’s inevitable, I feel it’s necessary to mention that though Ronald is/was employed by Volusia County Department of Child and Families, he’s not a social worker – just a food stamp processor.

Why didn’t the son kick down the door when he heard the dad in there with her? My childrens father doesn’t even like being in the house with my daughters friends if I’m not home..for fear someone may imply something shady is going on. The grandad needs a slap and the dad needs common sense

You know what is really sad and tragic? That you would HAVE to worry that it looks bad if a father is home alone with his own child and their friend. Parents are supposed to be trustworthy dammit. So are grandparents. Damn sick and twisted people. (PS, not at you Succubus, just at the fact that this is how it has become with all the sickos around)

I’m glad the little girl was brave enough to finally say what happened. I think the Dad suspected what was going on so I think he should of got that girl out of there as soon as he could, but at least he did the right thing by calling her Mom and the police.

While I am thrilled that the son did the right thing and contacted authorities immediately, it makes me wonder if he had any inkling that his father was a pervert. It it possible for someone 56 years old to have never given any indication of his sick inclinations to those closest to him? And if the son did suspect something, why didn’t he freak out when he realized dear old dad was locked in a bathroom with a 7 year old? If he was questioning the girl afterwards, it does make me think that the son must have known something just ain’t right with dad…either way, thank goodness he called the police. It’s just a shame that it took a little girl getting violated to stop this piece of shit.

What a dirty bastard. Poor kid. I feel sorry for the dudes son too. That must have been two of the hardest phone calls he’s ever had to make in his life. Could you imagine having to call the cops on your dad for molesting a small child, and then having to call the parents of the child that it happened to, and explain what your own father did to their child while she was in your house? Holy shit. The holidays are really going to suck for the Thornton’s this year.

I think questioning the girl’s father in this case is uncalled for. Considering he immediately turned his father in, I think it’s safe to say that, had he known dear ol’ dad was a perv, grandpa wouldn’t have been over there to begin with. And if he didn’t care about the child’s well-being, he would have accepted her first answer instead of pressing her for the truth.

Amd, yes, it’s ENTIRELY possible for a person to be a sick fuck without anyone around them being aware. I think everyone withholds some element of their nature from those around them fearing it wouldn’t be accepted. And we’re talking normal things – shopping addictions or alcoholism or fetishes. Murders and child molesters are that much MORE compelled to remain as inconspicuous as possible.

Let’s praise the girl’s father for doing the right thing in a timely manner, hope that her friend is able to get past this and keep our fingers crossed that this man will take his dying breath behind bars.

Ugh, that poor kid. :( I’m glad the little girl’s dad did the right thing…must really suck to know that your dad is a fucking perverted old sicko, and to have to call the cops on him.

Damn, the word that comes to mind is brazen. Guy is either a long time molester or working on a new brain tumor.

And even as cynical as I am, not sure I would have asked the kid a second time without some history of past abuse. Which would bring us back to kicking down the door. Rat bastard!

prevo’s son Jason did the right thing. But don’t you know someone in that family is attacking Jason right now-saying grandpa would never do that. Thank goodness Jason believed that little girl. Ronald prevo-rot you bastard.

I agree with Athena, lay off the dad. He was persistent in finding out what happened and notified the police and the girls’ mother as soon as it happened. It’s hard to believe your own father would do something like that and no one wants to believe someone close to them would be capable of something like that. Put yourself in his place; it took a lot of courage to call the girls parents. He could have let the cops handle it at that point and he didn’t. I give him credit for stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for the young girl.

That’s the ONLY explanation you can come up with? Perhaps the girl was acting strangely. Have you never dealt with a little kid who is lying out of fear or discomfort? In my experience, it’s pretty obvious. She likely hesitated or had a particular look on her face, something to signal she was lying and uncomfortable. I see absolutely no reason to believe Jason had any idea his father was prone to such behavior.

Yeah…Blaming the guy for not kicking down the door is a BIT much,As,if HE is a SANE human being, its pretty safe to assume the worst did not immediately come to mind, and rather,*gasp* possibly he actually assumed, the man,who fathered him,was possibly helping a child in a crappy situation, whatever that may be…

But than came the complete and proper reaction, that should ONLY be fully commended,NOT questioned…

Sometimes we all need to take a step back, breath, and realize,we were NOT there, and can only hope we would do as good if placed in the same place…

I agree @ not waylaying the dad. Those were 2 very hard calls to make, espeically to the mother. When my son was about 7 my close friend called to tell me that her son was complaining about a 14 YO neighborhood kid molesting younger boys in the neighborhood, including her son. Since my son was a frequent visitor at her house she wanted me to know in case my son had been a victim as well. She was absolutely beside herself with guilt for what might have happened to my son while in her care, and it wasn’t even a relative of hers that was the perp. Kudos to dad. What I am curious about is the grandaughter. Wonder if grandad ever molested her?

On the flip side the child was lucky he didn’t use that big lumpy nose.

Now the kiddie diddler is on OUR dime. I’d rather use my dimes and have him in the same cell as bubba, a lifer that’s been in the hole for a year or so.

I’m not blaming the dad. I’m just curious why he didn’t try to remove the girl from the bathroom.

I think several completely plausible explanations have already been offered.

I am also pleasantly surprised that the dad called the girl’s mother himself in addition to the police. Like others have said, that must have been brutal but he felt it was the right thing to do.
