Tacoma, Washington – Officials with the Pierce County Sheriff’s office and Tacoma and Lakewood Police say that on three separate cases, fast food managers were pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights shortly after closing and leaving their restaurants. The two men would approach the car wearing bandanas over their faces, showed guns and then handcuffed the victims. One of the men would take the manager back to the restaurant and force the victim to unlock the doors, open the safe and give them cash. The second suspect then picks up the first. On Oct. 5, 2009, the McDonald’s on Steilacoom Boulevard in Lakewood. Oct. 23, 2009, 3:15 a.m. the Wendy’s on Hosmer Street in Tacoma and on Oct. 25, 2009, the Burger King on Mountain Highway in Graham. But on SundaySunday reviewsSunday reviews, these two changed their game. The robbers stopped the manager of a Lakewood Wendy’s, but she did not have a key to the restaurant. So the pair improvised. They handcuffed her boyfriend who was with her and put him in the trunk then took the woman and raped her.

The men are described as white males, ages 20-25 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall with thin builds. They wore dark hooded sweatshirts, dark hats, bandanas, and gloves, and have brandished handguns. They drove a dark newer SUV and an older black Honda with tinted windows. This is the car that was equipped with red and blue lights on the dashboard. Police say if you do not feel safe while being stopped by an unmarked car, to slow down and call 911. Police say most officers will understand. And by “understand” they mean, “taser your ass once they get you out of the car.” Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges filed in the case. Callers will remain anonymous. Call (253) 591-5959 with information.

Scary. They were just trying to do there job and got attacked and even raped in the process. Stories like this are very disturbing to me for some reason….I think it the trust or betrayel they must feel. Something like that.

I’d rather be tasered than handcuffed, raped, etc.

Oh, lord I’m a fast food manager and this scares the crap out of me. Luckily I’m not in Tacoma (this city has had some crimes that have made the national news).

Agree Lella, I’ll take my chances with a taser wielding real cop while calling 911, rather than risk being handcuffed and raped by some perv,

I’m glad to see this front paged. Yeah, the Lakewood/Tacoma area is pretty sketchy, but Graham is quasi rural, so I bet this shit scares the hell outta those folks. Either way, these little shits need to be picked up and locked away before they do something even more stupid.

Between this and the straight up assassination of the police officer Halloween night, the news is pretty ominous lately.

Got a news flash for ya….cops don’t understand when you don’t just pull over for flashing lights. I was always told if you get pulled over when it is dark, it is perfectly ok to just slow down and stop at the nearest place that is well lit or that has a street light. I was on the interstate in Texas at 2:30 am and got pulled over. I slowed down but kept going for about a mile until I found a well lit place. I was nearly arrested for evading an officer because he was a freaking asshole and I can assure you he wasn’t understanding at all.

Not that I’m defending these douche bags or saying the victims are at fault..but a red Honda with flashing lights?? I did hear that correctly right?? Why on Earth would you not question a RED HONDA with flashing lights?

Also, I semi-live in Lakewood..except around there they call it LakeHood…not exactly best place to live IMO..also, its VERY close to the Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB..not to say that that contributes to the crime in the area but I have heard some pretty nutso stories of some Soldiers just lookin for a good time and a rush doing stupid shit like that…just a thought since all the crimes seem to be happening in localized areas around the Post

K scratch that…went back and re-watched…it was a BLACK Honda or Nissan…still pretty easy to tell a Honda from an actual Police Car But at night a Black Car..I guess that makes more sense
