Betsy Hanks Is Full Of Crap

Kelliher, MN - On October 20th, Betsy Hanks called 911 to report that she returned home to discover her common-law-husband and father to her four children was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Matthew Albert, 27, was still breathing but unconscious when officers arrived on scene – he died from the injury two days later. Now, how did that bullet find it’s way into Matthew’s head? Betsy had a story, or three, at the ready.

She explained to police that she and Matthew had stayed awake until the early morning hours of the 20th arguing about whether or not she had been cheating on him. Later that morning, after Matthew fed the children and returned to bed, Betsy sent their older children, ages 5 and 6, off to school before preparing to take another child, age 3, to Mizpah with her, leaving an 18-month-old child behind with Matthew. She told officers that when she returned from Mizpah, she found Matthew laying in bed, breathing but injured. She knew that he kept a pistol in a case next to the bed, but the case was empty and the gun was missing.
On the day Matthew died, Betsy was questioned again. This time, her story was a little different. In this version of events, Betsy didn’t come home and discover that Matthew had already been shot – instead, she told officers that she had seen her 3-year-old son playing with the pistol and when she tried to take the gun from the child it went off, injuring Matthew. That story didn’t wash either, and much to the relief of the toddler being accused of shooting his father in the head, Betsy fessed up. According to the arrest report, Betsy admitted to shooting Matthew in the head before heading to Mizpah “in hopes of giving her children a better father.” What in the fuck is that supposed to mean? Sounds like maybe those kids could use a better mother – what woman in her right fucking mind would try to blame the death of her husband on a 3-year-old child? Dumb bitch should have turned the gun the other way before pulling that trigger. Betsy Hanks, 27, was charged with second-degree intentional murder and is being held on $1.5 million bail. I hope you rot – selfish bitch.

Saddly I am related to this selfish “gapped tooth cow” (good one) This woman is cold and heartless, those boys could not have had a better father, he loved nd supported them every way he could. She never cared for her boys, she should and will ROT IN HELL, those boys will loose out on a life with their father they aren’t loosing out on loosing their mother, I always thought Matt should take the kids and leave her behind. She didn’t deserve any of them.

Ok. So the first issue is that you are upset that your cousin is being run through the mud. I can understand that. However, do you not see why any normal, semi-law abiding American would be upset about a woman who places the blame of a homicide on a 3 year old instead of taking responsibility? Or how about we are mad because this woman has ruined her children’s lives? Can you understand that? Now being that we don’t necessarily hear the true story, because the media tends to make people look bad because they are just mean, why don’t you tell us what was really happening at that house?

Although I am also “related” to this situation, I have tried from the beginning to keep an open mind about the situation. I do think the comments on her looks and such are out of line, The issue at hand is that she murdeed her boyfriend and father of her children. And THAT is the awful truth. She did try to blame it on her 3 year old, after telling her original story and then nefore finally confessing. I think like Fire14 stated she is mental in many ways. She does need to be held accountable for her actions, and I believe through the court system she will. I think What Fire14 was upset about (but I am not sure) is that people are not talking about the case, they are talking about her in general and that isn’t what this is about. This is about a woman who lost her nut and made a very horrible decision that will and has altered so many peoples lives, including her childrens and her own. She has to live with knowing that she did this, she will most likely spend her life in prison for her poor decision, but talking about her looks, and saying things that do not pertain to the case isn’t called for.

And I’m not sure why you care what a group of people who you don’t know, who don’t know you, and who aren’t involved with your situation thinks. We are just a small segment of the jury of public opinion. We base our opinion on what we know of the situation. If you are upset about how I feel, then I can only assume that I don’t know the real story.

I never said I did care, I am only defending Fire14, this situation is hard on all sides of the issue, and having people say things about her that are not a part of the case could be hard to swallow for some. There really isn’t anything about the case that is not in your article here. There is nothing new to report yet.What you have here is pretty much what the papers back home say. No one will ever know what REALLY happened in that house, no one else was there.
I do understand the ill feelings, I have them as well. This is a very confusing and painful situation. My main concern is those little boys and how they are going to be able to grow up relatively normal.

Fire14, related on the Hanks side. ANd you are right Matt was a good man, although I have said before I didnt know him very well, but he touched so man people that I care deaply about that through them I feel I knew him well. I also hope they do not split up those boys, There are enough people wanting to take them in in the family that I am thinking that they won’t be.
