Pair Accused Of Beating The Snot Out Of Alleged Kiddy Diddler
October 26, 2009 by Jaded
Davie, Florida – In 1997, Luke Petruschke, 38, was facing a couple of sex related charges – he was acquitted. Four years later, he was back in court facing charges of lewd and lascivious molestation – the charges in that case were dropped. LuckyLucky reviews
guy, huh? Let’s fast forward to the here and now. Luke spent the night at a friend’s home FridayFriday reviews
evening and was preparing to leave SaturdaySaturday reviews
morning when the friend’s 3-year-old son informed his parents that Luke had fondled him during the night. It was at that exact moment that Luke’s luck ran the hell out. The child’s father, Manuel Vega, and a neighbor, Krish Carter, got all vigilante-like on the alleged kiddy diddler.

Manuel Vega and Krish Carter
When the cops arrived on scene after receiving a report of the suspected molestation, they noticed a messed up Chevy in the driveway. The car was trashed – the windows had been smashed out and there were two bloody chunks of concrete on the front seat. At about that time, Luke came stumbling out of a wooded area behind the home – his head and face bloodied and swollen. Manuel and Krish tried to convince officers that Luke had wrecked the Chevy but deputies discovered otherwise. WitnessesWitnesses reviews
reported seeing Manuel and Krish break the car windows with concrete before yanking Luke out of the vehicle and beating the living shit outta him. Manuel finally fessed up. As Manuel was being arrested, he asked one officer, “That is my son, man. What would you do?”
Manuel Vega, 27, and Krish Carter, 43, are being held without bond on charges of attempted murder. Luke Petruschke has been placed in a medically induced coma. Police said they plan to charge him with lewd and lascivious molestation if he recovers.
Some more information coming out. Manuel only knew Luke for a few months according to his mother. They fished and played cards together. “I pray that [Petruschke] lives for my son’s sake because if he dies, my son will be in jail for a long time,” she said. “We will not drop these charges. He will pay for what he did to my grandson.” She added that Vega is a good dad who just “lost it.”
Sgt. Greg Gasse of Davie Police says no shit. “Vega went out to confront Petruschke as he was leaving in his car…a neighbor Krish Carter joined in and the two of them threw rocks and debris. It went beyond detaining him. It went well beyond what they should have done.”
Vega has a prior criminal history that includes convictions for grand theft, burglary and cocaine possession. When asked how her grandson was doing, Vega’s mother responded that he seems to be ok, although he has asked for his father. “Manuel has been in jail before and done his time, but he loves his son and he cares for his son dearly,” she said. “I’m pretty sure he’s driving himself crazy because he can’t see [his son], talk to him and give him a hug. I know Manuel is destroyed in there thinking about this.”

What’s up, Jaded? Finally get a ride home from the bar?
The only reason why I do not support vigilantism that happens before someone has been proven of doing what they have been accused of is because with all the morons running around, innocent people would die by the thousands. But I do have to admit that I do get a sick bit of satisfaction in stories like this, IF the man actually did it, and I hope the two men get off with misdemeanors.

High Five Manuel Vega!

Something isn’t sitting right with me on this one. If he really did do what they are saying he did – why LIE about anything to begin with? Seems that finding out your son may have been molested/fondled by a supposed “friend” would be reason enough to do what they did. To lie first – and then say “Oh, Ok.. not buying that one? Well, then yeah – we did it cuz he touched my son” just starts sounding contrived.
I hope that IF he did what they say he did – he lives and suffers. If NOT, I hope these guys rot in jail.
Hope there are updates. I really want to get off the fence on this story.

Do I have to come over there and slap you? Ass….
I’ll be keeping an eye on this one – I’m not quite sure what to think. If Luke hadn’t been accused of sex crimes in the past, twice, I wouldn’t be so willing to believe he got what he deserved.
10:14 am on October 26th, 2009
I hear what you’re saying – but because they were friends, I would ‘assume’ they probably knew about the past charges – hence giving them a “plausible” excuse for beating this guys ass – even if it was done for a different reason.
Also, does no one else wonder why it would appear that 1 grown man was ‘leaving’ Saturday morning – and a 2nd was ‘conveniently’ right there to help with the beat down? Was this an over night party – with a 3 year old present in the home? If they were aware of past charges against him – why did they allow him to spend the night with their 3 year old in the home? I just have so many questions.
More info:
The neighbor is gonna have a much tougher time clearing himself of charges it would seem – whether the accusation is true or not.

Whether he got what he deserved or not is beside the fact, in my opinion. Now, this poor little three year old is without a father for god knows how long (attempted murder will NOT be pled down to a misdemeanor) which is bad enough in and of itself, but, depending on how cognizant the boy is, he may end up feeling somehow responsible for his father’s incarceration.
Sadly, some people think about things before they do them and still don’t come up with the right answer.

His 2 previous are good enough for a beat down as far as I’ concerned
If he didn’t molest this kid, I’m happy for the child and they just used it to give this molester a drug beat down who cares. Just because some DA didn’t feel he could make a case or the case wasn’t worth enough publicity for him to proceed, I don’t believe this guy’s been accused 3 times of child molestation and it didn’t happen.
CPS was probably called in the first couple of times and we all know how they investigate, they probably asked the frightened children were you molested and the poor scared child said no. OK no molestation, case closed, off to happy hour to write the report and the DA couldn’t charge the asshole
Lets see how a jury feels about the beat down

)
Maybe not a misdemeanor, but definitely a crime with a much lighter sentence. Attempted murder charges in cases like this are usually used to give prosecutors some leverage. It is very hard to prove intent to kill in cases like this, and even prosecutors are aware of how hard it would be to find 12 people who would send this man to prison for any real length of time.
My guess? Unless he decides to go to trial, Vega will plead guilty to Assault with a Deadly Weapon or Assault with the Intent to Cause Great Bodily Injury. All of this is based on the grounds that the guy doesn’t die, of course.
12:12 pm on October 26th, 2009
I’ll bet the kid is being told to lie for his parents actions. This will come out in the wash. If they were all buddies, they possibly knew about this guys past, and are now using it to get their own asses out of trouble. I’ve seen it before, believe me. If the guy had really done it, why would they lie about it to begin with?
12:54 pm on October 26th, 2009
He only knew the guy for 3 months. They fished and played cards together. I am pretty sure that Petruschke didn’t tell Vega, a man who has been to prison before on drug charges – that he happened to like molesting small boys.
The story as it is right now sounds 100 percent legit. Vega let Petruschke spend the night at his home. The next morning as Petruschke was leaving, Vega’s son told him what Petruschke had done. Vega and the neighbor drag him out of the car and beat the ever living shit out of him.
1:09 pm on October 26th, 2009
I’m not disputing that. But “much lighter” is debatable. Combine mandatory minimums with Vega’s criminal history and the judge’s hands may very well be tied.
Either way, my point remains – the last thing this kid needs is for daddy to go to prison for what happened to him.
1:20 pm on October 26th, 2009
Unfornately- I believe dad did the right thing..
The 3 year old would have been questioned and his story would have been thrown out because of his age. The bastard would walk to harm someone else’s child. Tell the boy when he is older that dad was trying to stop the animal for harming another child.
1:30 pm on October 26th, 2009
Tutkill – He’s STILL going to be questioned. Dad didn’t save him from that. Plus, stories aren’t thrown out simply because of a kid’s age.
They could tell the boy that dad was busy saving the world, for all that matters. It doesn’t replace or make up for the time he’ll be without a father.
1:53 pm on October 26th, 2009
Yeah, I mean they are charging Luke over the boy’s confession. Even though I understand where Vega was coming from – he lost it. His actions, no matter how you justify it, were not the smartest course of action. Had they detained they guy, even if it meant roughing him up a bit, I don’t think the cops would have given a shit. But they went too far and in an area of vengeance I am not comfortable with.
I’m all for punishing people appropriately once it has been proven that they have done something deserved of punishment. But we feature way too many idiots on here for me to ever want any of them being in charge of playing judge, jury and executioner. Sorry to say, but the majority of you people out there seem to be morons.
As I stated before, though. He wont be charged with attempted murder as it would be to hard to prosecute him. If they go to trial it would be him against a man that the jury will have no sympathy for whatsoever. But it is one hell of a gamble to take for someone who wants to be around for his kid.
2:03 pm on October 26th, 2009
I believe Vega and Carter lied at first, because they thought they had actually killed him, left him in the wooded area, knowing Luke deserved a beat down, but not death, then lo and behold, Luke comes stumbling out, to which they confessed to beating, then! I hope Luke lives through this, only with some permanent brain damage, to the side of his brain that causes him to desire little ones to molest!! Wouldn’t that be grand?!
2:17 pm on October 26th, 2009
I do not think it should be assumed they knew about the charges. Let’s face it–the majority of people in the world are not as computer literate as we are. Also, if he was acquitted before, etc, wouldn’t that mean that he wouldn’t have had to officially register? So if you DID do a search on his name, perhaps it wouldn’t have come up. These people do not seem to be the types to keep tabs on their neighborhood via offender registries, however.
So I’m curious to know what the son DID say. The story insinuates that everything was peachy-keen, and then as the guy was leaving, the son says that he molested him and daddy runs out to beat the shit out of him–joined sometime by the neighbor. So that seems like a lightening quick reaction doesn’t it? When my daughter was 3, pulling coherent info out of her was somewhat difficult .
I’m not saying the son was not molested, because the fuckwad DID have prior convictions, whether they were dropped or not. It’s possible. I also understand the initial reaction to really stomp someone who hurts your kid(s).
But this guy has been in prison before–he knows the drill. He knows that he needs to watch his actions and he needs to do things the proper way if he wants to stay OUT Of jail. I really do not think that this should have happened, even if I do understand the reasons why. I’ll be interested to learn more as it comes out too–I love the idea of vigalante justice, but would really rather see the courts start punishing with full justice so that it’s not an issue.

I’m glad they handed his ass to him. I believe that he did touch the boy, even if he didn’t….
KARMA came to him in the form or a beat down!
Is this the wrong way to feel? probably.. Do I care? not really.

From the same source I gave above:
This whole thing is just too effed up for words. My heart only truly breaks for the 3 year old though. All the other players in this drama knew the consequences of their actions and made a choice to act anyway. The 3 yr. old was thrust into this and victimized twice. First of the alleged molestation – then (as Athena stated) a father who will likely spend a lot of time in prison.
4:32 pm on October 26th, 2009
I meant “convicted” not “charged”. My bad. Jaded states the charges in her write-up.
9:12 pm on October 26th, 2009
There’s a difference between understandable and okay. If what happened to the little boy is fact, then them snapping was sure as hell understandable. That doesn’t make it right, and I’m with Athena. Their understandable actions will make that little boy’s life even harder than it would have been, and that means I can’t excuse them, even though my gut instinct is that the fucker got what he deserved.
11:15 am on October 27th, 2009
I can’t even imagine if I was in that situation. I might do the same, I know I would feel rage. Hopefully my head would take over and I wouldn’t so I could be there for my child. It would be mighty hard though and I do feel this asshole deserved what he got……
1:11 pm on October 27th, 2009
You’re basically saying that this guy admitted to his friends that he’d been accused of child molestation in the past (because I’m sure he tells everyone about that), and then that Vega knowingly let this guy stay the night at his house and have access to his three year old as part of a complex plot to get away with beating this guy up? That seems more likely than that a man who was previously accused of molestation molested yet another kid, and the kid’s dad lost it?
You’re lucky there’s no crime against torturing logic…
2:01 pm on October 27th, 2009
As are you that there’s none for being an asshole
Although I LOATHE defending myself – I will do so anyway.
First, when I responded with that, the length of their friendship was NOT part of the story. I figured they’d known each other at LEAST long enough that these ‘friends’ knew about at least ONE of the previous charges. Reading that they’d only been friends a short span of months puts a new spin on things… but does not GUARANTEE they didn’t know. Have you not read story after story about parents who KNEW their ‘friend’ was accused, but didn’t believe the charges – and therefore allowed these creeps around their kids… of course ending in one tragedy or another? I have. Believe it or not, there ARE people out there with worse ‘twisted logic’ than myself.
Irregardless of what they knew or didn’t know – they went too far. Now the 3 yr. old child suffers even MORE than he originally would have – thanks to his dear ole’ dad’s lack of self-control and the machismo neighbor who had NO business doing any actual striking.

Guess they didn’t go far enough, it’s still alive,
lucky for them.
Funny things happen at times, charges are dropped
evidence is mishandled, reports go missing
Juries find people innocent and children get their protector back
It’ll be interesting to see how this case plays out
Have personally seen paper work lost and charges dropped a few times.
As long as these guys don’t have previous records anything can happen, I say lets wait & see.
10:47 pm on October 31st, 2009
Either they beat him for another reason and used his previous records to cover their asses or he got what he deserved. Touch my 21 year old daughter and I’ll do my time smiling.I would definatly be doing time instead of my other activities if had of been when she was a minor. You are supposed to be enraged to attack and prevent future attacks on your children via mother nature. Bears don’t stop to call the ranger when their cubs are in danger and they don’t let the prdator loose without knowing it better not try there again. As long as the reason is legit I think these guys should walk totally free.
