Carson City, Nevada – Authorities in Carson City were alerted to a case of possible child abuse by the VA Hospital in Reno on SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews -  personnel there suggested that police get in contact with one Robert Williams. Robert had been in the hospital the day before with a couple of young boys who “looked pretty beat up.” When officers made contact with Robert, they discovered two boys being kept locked inside a small bedroom. “Inside the bedroom was a bunk bed where two small boys were lying,” the officer wrote. “The boys, age 5 and 3, were lying on the top bunk bed sharing a blanket. Located on the floor were two toddler potty chairs which were full of urine. The windows to the bedroom were boarded up from the inside.” The 5-year-old was reluctant to come out from underneath the blanket, and the 3-year-old wouldn’t wake up. The older boy was allegedly sportin’ a couple of black eyes. The younger had “a large abrasion – covering the majority of his face,” similar to road rash. What happened to the lads, you ask? Their parents.

The officer noticed a few other things that just seemed wrong. First, there was not a single toy to be found in the trailer. Second, the refrigerator door was secured with a cord, making it impossible for the boys to open. Third, there was a small, well-groomed and apparently well cared for, dog wandering around inside the trailer. Robert, 47, was arrested right then and there. Officers later made contact with the children’s mother, Linda Williams, at her place of employment. (Would you believe she’s employed as a caregiver? Ha!)  She allegedly told officers that her husband always locks the children in their room while she’s at work. But, hey, she lets ‘em out when she gets home. When asked about the injury to her younger child’s face, Linda, 35, stated that she had taken a washcloth to the boy’s face on Thursday to remove white-out from his skin. The child, though, told doctors that his mother had scrubbed his face with, of all things, a Brillo pad. Nice. I won’t even use that shit on my bathtub because of the damage it causes. Bitch. Authorities learned that neither child has had any medical care for at least three years. It was Linda’s turn to be arrested.

Officers returned to the trailer on Wednesday in an effort to collect evidence against the Williams’. When they entered, they discovered the place had been cleaned up a bit and the boards had been removed from the windows. Neighbors told officers that the couple’s relatives had been in and were seen carrying bags of garbage out. Meh. No matter, photos of the inside of the trailer were taken at the time of arrest. The door, along with the sliding bolt lock, was taken off the hinges and tagged as evidence. So much for the relatives getting the asshats off the hook. Robert Williams is being held on suspicion of of felony child abuse with substantial bodily harm, false imprisonment, and two counts of gross misdemeanor child neglect, abuse and endangerment. Linda Williams was booked on suspicion of felony child abuse with substantial bodily harm, principal to false imprisonment, and two counts of gross misdemeanor child neglect, abuse and endangerment. Bail has been set at $100,000. Both boys have been taken into custody by DCFS.

Ugh. To make sure they don’t produce more kids to torture, I vote we take that Brillo pad to each of their crotches ’till there’s no ugly left to bump.

Ha, I agree with the previous suggestion. Scour the nasty away.

Incidentally, this sentence: “First, there was not a single to be found in the trailer.”

    A single what, pray tell?

The trailer park strikes again. Has there ever been a scientific study done as to why such a high percentage of effed up stuff happens there?

Clearly, judging by the relatives actions after they were arrested, it’s a safe bet some of them knew… and didn’t care.

Clearly, judging by the relatives actions after they were arrested, it’s a safe bet some of them knew… and didn’t care.

But they certainly cared about the abusive dicks, because they helped them clean out the house once the heat was on. They probably thought that would trick the authorities. Can’t have the abusive “parents” facing responsibility for their actions! Nope, that would be cruel and unusual. Fortunately, not everyone is as dumb as they are.

    LOL. Perfect.

Bet if you could check her work record you would find out that she was an excellent employee as is usually the case from the official point of view but I bet those she cared for could tell a different story.I couldn’t get over she knew until I realized she was abusing them too.I hope they don’t have to go back to mommy.

Sometimes I want to cry and never, ever, ever stop. How can a world who gives us Van Gogh, Edith Wharton, Jonas Salk… spawn these creatures? I don’t think I’ll ever understand it. No, I don’t think I ever will.

Great writing as always, Jaded. You never disappoint. Another juxtaposition of the beauty of creativity with the darkest part of the human experience.

    You’re a natural writer. I hope you’re writing a novel.

Does this mean the 3 yr has never seen a doctor in his life?

I wish that were the case. My husband is a vet(Vietnam era). He gets VA medical benefits, but the kids and I don’t

I agree good write up Jaded!
There are a lot of alarm bells here. Its pretty hard to cover the fact you have two kids and they are not being well taken care of. Maybe that is normal for their “park’. the whole lot of the friends and family should be investigated closely.
People like that need to be shot. I cant imagine the horror those kids went thru locked in their room with a bucket of pee and sharing a blanket.

the fucking relatives that went in after these creatures were arrested REALLY piss me off. who knows how long they have all known what was going on in that house and didn’t say shit to anyone about it. THEN when they “parents” actually GET WHAT IS COMING TO THEM (though i don’t think jail time really compares to the abuse that these children suffered), the family goes in to clean up their mess.
    sick.
    just plain sick.

I agree with kbawesome. It’s bad enough the horror of what the parents were doing to the kids, but the fact that the relatives cleaned up the house in an effort to cover up what was going on is just too much, like they’re trying to justify those monsters’ behavior.
