Edwin Morales Tried To Rape Babysitter, Will See No Jail

McALLEN – This is a two part story each part containing equal amounts of vomit-inducing material. First, back in May Edwin Auner Morales tried raping a 13-year-old girl who was babysitting his kids. The girl fought back and was able to get away and report him. Morales admitted what he had done, including that he was aware of her age when he attempted to rape her. Morales was charged with charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a possible fine of $10,000. That’s the first part of this story. The second part is that on Sept 22nd, Judge Rudy Delgado ruled Morales receive a deferred sentence and will not serve any jail time if he does not run into criminal problems again during a probationary period. Nice, huh?
Before we get to the judge, here is more info on the attempted rape. According to a police affidavit, Morales, 23, approached the girl while she was holding one of his wife’s babies. He told her that he wanted to have sex with her. She told him that she did not. Morales told her he was having marital problems and grabbed her by the arms. She then kicked him, walked to a bedroom and placed the baby she had been carrying on the bed. Morales took this opportunity to pushed her on the bed and get on top of her while the baby lay beside them. The girl got up, picked the baby up from the bed and tried handing it to Morales who didn’t care about the infant and continued insisting he wanted to have sex. The girl kicked his legs and pushed him to the ground. While Morales was trying to stand up, she placed the baby back on the bed and left the home.
Yeah, this Morales was just probably having a bad day. I mean, I know when I am having problems with my wife, the first thing I think about doing is raping a 13-year-old. So I am guessing that Judge Rudy Delgado felt the same way when he allowed this guy to stay out on the street, right? Honestly, I cannot imagine what that girl and her family must be going through right now and I just do not understand how anyone can possibly think that this is remotely right. Obviously they don’t, which you can read in the comments from a couple of the source articles I linked to. Also, do a search on Judge Rudy Delgado. Interesting, huh?

So, what came up on the search? Guess I’ll have to do my own. I hate when judges rule that molesters/rapists or those that attempt to commit those acts are not longer a threat. It’s likely this wasn’t Morales’ first time and it won’t be the last. The details of the story are scary and if I were Mrs. Morales I wouldnt want him near my kids.

Rivas pursued Delgado for some time with his police lights on. After Delgado finally stopped, he fell down while trying to exit his GMC and smelled strongly of alcohol.”

This story reminds me of another similar one – although much worse because this guy molested a girl from the time she was 6 until 14 and the Judge (John Torrance) gave the guy 5 years – PROBATION! Who was Morales’ lawyer? The representation in Delgados court, could be a “telling” factor in the decision handed down!!

It is amazing that Judges like him are allowed on the bench, not to mention get re-elected. He is the very reason vigilante justice is so appealing. SMF!

No, that would be “wives’ babies”. Wives is the plural of wife, and the possessive of wife is wife’s. The possessive os wives is wides’.
But it did sound odd.
This judge needs to be removed from the bench.
