Adrian, MI – What are the chances that we would be featuring two hambeasts hailing from Bizarro World on the same damn day? Pretty damn good. You may have already had the pleasure of meeting hambeast #1, Prisscilla Mechell – now let’s meet her kooky runner-up , 30-year-old Brandy Michelle Wellman. Brandy is in yo face this morning because she abandoned her pajama-clad 3-year-old daughter on the side of a busy highway in the middle of the night and claimed to authorities that “maybe she had been kidnapped from her bed.” Oh for the love of fucking ice cream sandwiches, why?

At around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday the 16th, a trucker driving down US 223 spotted the child running down the highway. When police arrived on the scene, they found the frightened child to be uninjured but disoriented and confused. “She didn’t know her last name, all we knew was her first name and that she had a sister that went to school and her parent’s first name, but she didn’t know where she lived,” said Lenawee County Sheriff Jack Welsh. I can’t imagine the fear that little girl was feeling – poor kiddo.

A couple hours later, Wellman was on the phone with police to report her daughter missing. She initially told authorities and family that she believed that someone broke into her home and abducted the child. And apparently, at least one family member bought that story. “What I think happened is, I think someone took her. We have some weirdos living around here,” Wellman’s sister in-law said at the time. Another story she spewed out of her pie hole was that the child might have crawled out of an open window. Bullshit. She later admitted to leaving the house with the child around midnight and dropping her off on the highway, several miles away from home. She has yet to explain the reasoning behind the abandonment. The child was placed in protective custody and Brandy Wellman was placed behind bars and charged with child abandonment. Bond was set at $200,000. Neighbors stated that Brandy had been acting odd lately, but they had never witnessed her mistreating her children. I guess there’s a first time for everything.

    Her eyebrows remind me of the time I let my ex-husband do my eye makeup..he made me look really angry. Poor little girl, though. I remember the panic I used to feel as a child when I’d accidentally get seperated from my mother in a crowded store, and then later as an adult, seeing that same fear on the face of an occasional lost toddler in a shopping mall. Hope this woman gets put away for a long time.

    I just wanna know what happens after Jan 19? will that bitch get to see her after that? I wonder how her child is going to deal with this knowledge when she’s older. it really bothers me what she did to her head, the poor baby.

    A 3-year-old girl who was allegedly dropped along U.S. 223 near Palmyra in the middle of the night was ordered Tuesday to remain in a foster care placement for three more months.

    Lenawee County Probate Judge Gregg P. Iddings also continued an order prohibiting Brandy Michelle Wellman of Adrian from any type of contact with her daughter pending a review hearing set for Jan. 19.

    She admitted dropping her toddler daughter off on a busy highway at 2:30 A-fucking-M, and then sauntering her massive corn nibbling ditch pig ass off to her home, miles away, like a slaphappy two dollar whore with a pocket full of quarters.
    Then this beastly bovine bitch waited a couple of hours before calling LE to report the child “missing” …erm… “abducted” …uhm… “crawled out the window” …OK… fucking finally the truth slithers out of her rancid mouth… abandonment!?!

    She is hideously broken and deformed; she is beyond redemption, and unworthy of repair.

I also inform all of you that, most individuals that have committed a massacre in the USA, were on so-called psychiatric medication at the time. Google “psychiatric drugs brain damage”.

    Brandy Wellman was sentenced to 32 months to 48 months for second-degree child abuse. She pleaded guilty to dumping her 2-year-old daughter on US-223 near Palmyra at 2 a.m. in September of last year.

    The child was found by a truck driver wandering along the highway.

    Wellman will receive credit of 188 days for time already served.

    anti-psycotic meds. They cause cancer, too. I hope she is getting better medical care now, but if this is going to happen she needs a supervisor. It is also in opposition with the statement that she “didn't do it” and her own words of a stranger or the window, that show some reality co-hesion. It's tough. But the children must be protected.

    The girl has been receiving counseling since the September incident.

    “Only time will tell the full impact on your child,” Noe said. “No one can say what the future holds for this tiny victim.”

    Noe said she believes there is a risk Wellman could again be in a position to harm her children if allowed a jail term and probation. She said Wellman’s husband, Everette Wellman, “wants you returned to the happy home.”

    “This man has not supported his children. Instead he has stood by you.”

    Everette Wellman currently has custody of their 3-year-old and 13-year-old daughters, although custody remains under supervision of the Michigan Department of Human Services through probate court.

    Noe ordered that Brandy Wellman have no contact with any child younger than 17.

    McFarland said he expects Brandy Wellman will appeal the sentence, which exceeds state guidelines that called for a minimum term in the range of two months in jail to 17 months in prison.

    Unfortunately, it sounds like she may get the chance to be with her daughter(s) again.

    “Your actions are tantamount, without any question whatsoever, to an attempted homicide,” Noe told Wellman. Only the alertness and skill of a semi driver prevented the tragedy that Wellman intended, Noe said.

    Anthony Breitner was able to swerve and brake his rig to a halt without hitting the girl, spilling milk from the loaded tanker. “She immediately ran to him and jumped in his arms,” Noe said.

    The girl was left on U.S. 223 just west of Palmyra shortly before Breitner found her at 2:30 a.m.

    Later that morning, Wellman had her teenage daughter called 911 to report the 3-year-old missing from her bedroom. A window was left open and a teddy bear was thrown on the lawn outside to make it appear she was kidnapped by an intruder, according to Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department reports. Wellman, however, confessed while being questioned by investigators.

    “She doesn’t know why she did this, your honor. I don’t think she’s lying,” McFarland said. Psychological treatment to find and treat the cause of the offense should be more important than punishment, he argued.

    “She is effectively no longer the parent of this child,” McFarland said. “For a mother that is extreme punishment.”

    Assistant Lenawee County Prosecutor Douglas Hartung asked for a maximum prison sentence. He read from a report on Wellman’s court-ordered evaluation in which the psychologist stated she believed Wellman can recall the reason for abandoning her child “if she so desires.”

    The report included Wellman’s description of the incident, Hartung said, in which she recalled picking up the sleeping girl with her blanket and putting her in the car. Wellman said she drove around for some time. She wanted to return home with her daughter, but she said: “My head wouldn’t let me. The thought of dropping her off overpowered going home.”

    She recalled her daughter crying when she dropped her on U.S. 223 and saying nothing to her before driving away, the report said. Wellman then drove home and went to bed.

    “You have not demonstrated any true remorse for your actions,” Noe said. “I firmly believe you know why you did this.”

    Noe said Wellman “methodically” tried to cover up the crime by making it appear someone entered her bedroom window and carried her off.

    A large lock of the girl’s hair was cut from the back of her head before she was left on the road, Noe said, an apparent memento for a daughter she did not expect to see alive again.

    After being rescued by the truck driver, Noe said the girl told sheriff’s deputies, “My mom got mad at me and put me in the road.”

    An order signed Dec. 14 in Lenawee County Probate Court terminated the parental rights of Brandy Michelle Wellman to her daughter, BreAnna. The girl, who will turn 5 next month, remains in the custody of her father, Everett Wellman.

    Brandy Wellman pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree child abuse in January, four months after her daughter was found alone on U.S. 223 near Palmyra at about 2:30 a.m.
