Dog Fighting Ring At Home Daycare

CHICAGO, Illinois – A dog with its eye ripped out, a dog with a leg twisted backward and a dog with its lower extremities nearly ripped off its body. That’s just a taste of what police found during a raid on a Chicago home daycare. Seems as if it wasn’t just children the owner’s were caring for. In a garage attached to the back of the house, dog-fighting equipment was located. In fact, when police arrived on Tuesday, they found “a very aggressive” pit bull in the garage, with blood on the floor and along the sides of a car. “Also in the garage were syringes, medication, bite sticks and harnesses used in dog fights,” the sheriff’s office said in a release. “The chest of the dog found in that garage was shredded from a recent fight and its penis was bitten almost completely off.” Some video after the jump, as well as a link to the full article which should piss you off. Not only for what was being done to the dogs, but the danger they placed the children and surrounding community in.

I just wish penalties for animal cruelty were much, much harsher in general. But, yeah, vicious pit bulls who have been trained to fight ARE essentially weapons, so throw some weapons charges at them as well. Fuckers.

This pisses me off and makes me nervous at the same time. My 3 month old just started going to a home daycare and while we did all our home work you just never know. I would be shocked to find out the parents of the children knew anything about this. Plus I have one of the nicest pits you could ever meet and these people make it so I get dirty looks wherever I take the dog. Fucking disgraceful!!!

Some of the nicest dogs I’ve ever met have been pit bulls, actually. There is a guy that sits in front of the Safeway across the street from my apartment with a pit that is literally the most gentle dog I’ve ever come across. This guy sells a newspaper called Street Roots that benefits the homeless, and the dog wears a blanket thing with pockets that hold copies of the newspaper, you pay the guy and get the paper from the dog.

WTF! So there is a charge for being a felon in possession of an un-spayed or un-neutered dog, but apparently being a felon at a day care center is fine?!

I just don’t get dog fighting. It’s really upsetting to me, especially the after effects. I couldn’t imagine seeing it happen in real life. How do people go and not be affected for the rest of their lives? Has anyone ever been? If so please shed some light……..

i freakin hate dog fighting idiots && this just pisses me off. Blood all over the garage and tormented beautiful dogs limping around uncared for, angry as all hell, AND around a so called “daycare.”

I say put these morons who had the doggies in a ring with some PETA members and let them kick the shit out of them while they’re harnassed..

Horrible, inhumane, and beneath contempt. Poor dogs. I heard that the original story in Genesis had God creating the universe and all living things, with his final masterpiece being… The Dog. But then, as an afterthought, he created humans, in case the dog needed help, or someone to play with. We need harsher penalties for animal bashers. But, in the meantime, I hope they get punished to the absolute fullest, and that karma slams them repeatedly for years to come.

Dunno if you heard about it, but one of the me arrested had video on his cell phone of one of the dogs being burned alive.

Umm… the PETA guys would lose cause they don’t eat meat so they’re all skinny & weak even if they work out. They’ll get punched & their bones would break.
