Derrick Praileau, Chief of Housekeeping, Left an Awful Mess

New York, NY – This is not the week for smart beautiful women. First Annie Le and now Andree “Sara” Bejjani. While most people strive to be wealthy, attractive, educated, and successful, and very few achieve it, Bejjani was all that and more. She seemed to be living the dream life. Just having been hired as a VP at a US based property investment firm, she moved from Dubai into a condo in a luxury hotel near Central Park a year ago. Unfortunately, having it all got Bejjani some unwanted attention and her dream life ended in a nightmare. morning and viciously murdered her.

Praileau, a married father of two who held a manager position on the housekeeping staff at the luxury hotel, showed up an hour before his shift on Saturday morning drunk. Key card access records show Praileau entering Bejjani’s condo at around 6 am Saturday morning. It is alleged that he entered her home, held a knife to her throat while she lay in bed and attempted to sexually assault her. Bejjani fought off the attack and was stabbed and strangled. A maid entering the condo later found Bejjani’s body on the kitchen floor. She was face down, nude from the waist down, her nightgown had been pulled up, her throat was slashed, she had a jump rope tied around her neck and there was a 10 inch serrated bread knife stuck in the back of her neck. The official cause of death was strangulation, but those details lead me to believe she fought like a hellcat. I would expect nothing less from a woman like her.
Key card records and video surveillance show Praileau returning to the condo later in he day in attempt to clean up the scene. Confronted with the evidence, which as far as I am concerned could not be any better unless he had filmed and recorded the entire thing himself, Praileau confessed. He’s confessed to the murder, but refuses to admit any to any rape. Whether the sexual assault actually took place is not known at this time, though it is believe that was his motivation for entering.
What pisses me off about this story is that this woman probably worked hard to attain her station in life only to have some psychotic fuck to come along and snatch it from her like an old ladies purse. Not only that, he was in a position of trust with access to the many homes in the place where he had been working for 12 years. 12 YEARS. And to top it all off, he has a wife and two kids at home.
His explanation? “I lost it.” Bejjani’s family will take very little solace in that explanation. Yeah, you lost ALOT asshole and you took much much more.

I feel terrible for Bejjani and her loved ones, and my heart goes out to Praileau’s family as well. Those poor kids are going to have a rough time of it.

Shit. Rotten Apple can often been seen scaling walls and crushing ice. She’s been known to remodel train stations on her lunch break. She translates ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees and writes award-winning operas. She manages time efficiently.
She dedicated enough time to this asshole and effectively relayed the tragedy that fell upon Andree Bejjani all while attempting to be caller #9. That bitch is amazing.

Jealousy is a terrible thing. It’s sad when someone crosses that line though. How horrific to die that way, but I’m with you RA sounds like she fought like hell. She had a lot to live for! Stupid dick.

I’m floored. He worked there 12 years and then out of the blue decided to use a pass key to enter her home and rape her? And then ends up killing her, yet hangs around like nothing happened?
Have trouble believing that he doesn’t have a past history somewhere, sometime. Family guy to rapist/murderer, that’s a big step.
So sorry for Ms. Bejjani. She should have been safe in her own home behind a locked door.

It appeared (to me) it was a nervous smile – like in shock. She never giggled. The lady after her was more WTF. Saying “riiight? after every sentence she said. Who does that?

Meh. I’m sure they meant something about the witty banter being missing. I wasn’t feeling very witty at 2 in the morning after fighting my sick kid. Plus, with all the details available, I figured I should keep it cut and dry or it would end up being pages long.
The story reminded me so much of the stuff I used to see in the True Crime magazines I used to sneak peeks at as a kid. Kind of took me back to when stuff like this used to shock and horrify me.
But if people really NEED it. Here you go.
Douchebaggery, fucktard, asshat, shithead, knuckledragger, dickface, rip his genitals off and shove them down his throat, let bubba ass rape him in prison, etc.
Sprinkle liberally in the above story and it should be more palatable for some of our readers.

You guys; anybody think that a bread knife has no point? It would be hard to stab someone in the front of their throat but in the back with a bread knife? Maybe he was going to dismember her and found it too difficult for that moment but a bread knife?They’re for sawing not slicing or sticking. Annybody get what I’m saying?

Wow seems another male fueled by rage at having to see a powerful woman who is more successful than him. I wonder if there was any prior conflicts between Bejjani and Praileau. Something that might have started this awful tragedy.
