A Burglar Joins Club Castle

Miami, Florida – A Miami home was host to a prowler on Thursday morning, but this particular person picked the wrong house. This home had been targeted at least four times before in the last two years, one of those times involved an armed robber. So when this person scaled a 6-ft fence to get on to the property, he came face-to-face with Carlos Kennedy and a struggle commenced. Carlos’ son heard the commotion and came out to help. That’s when the duo beat the intruder to death with a golf club. Florida’s castle law does allow residents to protect themselves or their property with lethal force if necessary. At this point, neither the father or son have been charged with a crime.

Apparently we don’t in Georgia. I just read in the local paper about a guy being charged for shooting a burglar.

Too bad, I guess people here got tired of having to wait for the door to get kicked in, or wait for the cops.
Even with a castle law here there are still people that have the nerve to enter upon someones property. You see their mothers on the news saying he didn’t deserve to die for that (being in someones back yard). Boo hoo.

We keep a Calloway 7-iron by the door leading to the house from the garage. An Arnold Palmer putter near the entrance to the back door and a Ping 9 iron under the bed.
Hope the intruder wasn’t just a very aggressive Encyclopedia Brittanica door-to-door salesman. But if it was a Jehovah witness … ummm never mind.

Good, I’m sure they are tired of being violated and maybe the word will get out to stay away from the home from now on!
