4 Year-Old Survives Richard Ringold’s Shooting Spree

Gwinnett County, Georgia is a suburb county of Atlanta. Many residents live in Gwinnett Co and commute into the city for work. Suburbs offer a slower pace than the heart of the city which is a huge draw, coupled with a lower crime rate. A number of young parents opt for a suburban homestead as a better place to raise their children. Children do however, have an uncanny ability to thrive anywhere they’re raised as long as there is a loving hand guiding them and a sense of security. But now things have drastically changed for a little 4 year-old girl who ran for her young life as she witnessed her mother, her sister, and two family friend’s fatal shooting – and was shot as she ran for help.

Richard Ringold

She’sShe reviewsShe reviews alive. This little miracle on 2 legs. By sheer tenacity and a zeal for life, this child managed to escape the massacre allegedly performed by the hand of her mother’s boyfriend.

It was nearly four years to the day that her mother, 28 year old Atania Butler fled from Hurricane Katrina to the Atlanta with her (then) 7 year old daughter. She fled from a monster storm into the arms of a monster who allegedly shot them in cold blood because, according to the child, they were fussing.

Atania’s daughter (her name is not being released) stated Richard Ringold kicked in their door and started shooting. And shooting. And shooting. The little girl ran out and ran into the arms of a neighbor after she was shot in the shoulder. The neighbor rode with her in the ambulance where the child described the scene and announced the fact she knew her family was dead. A 4 year-old. And she was able to succinctly relay the information to the authorities enough to arm them with enough to arrest Richard Ringold as he faces charges of  four counts of murder and aggravated assault.

As for this brave young girl, she’s recovering from the two surgeries she had on her shoulder and has been surrounded by other family who have been by her side since. I sincerely hope this child will receive the help she’ll undoubtedly need. Sometimes being a survivor isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

You said it, TG. How horrifying for a four-year-old to know that her mother and sister are gone. She may have other relatives, but her immediate family …… all gone…….

And to top it off, the murders were at the hands of someone who was part of that family at one point, too. How is she ever going to trust?

You don’t see too many kids like this, she’s a special kid and survived for a reason. So sorry she lost her immediate family, how heartbreaking!

Do any of you watch that show on A&E, Crime 360? The latest episode had a case almost exactly like this — a woman’s boyfriend had been fighting with her and then went and got his gun and started shooting everyone in the house. Only one 8-year-old child survived. This guy shot two toddlers in the forehead execution style, which is perhaps only a bit worse than shooting at a 4-year-old who is trying to run away. That selfish bastard killed himself when SWAT showed up at his hiding place. But hopefully, Richard here has lots of ass-raping to look forward to for the rest of his pathetic life. Let him feel the terror he inflicted on those people.
