Monte Ayres Raped His Elderly Girlfriend To Death

Indianapolis, IN – For years, Monte Ayres, 46, has had an on-again-off-again, and sometimes volatile relationship with his 80-year-old girlfriend, Kathleen Vargas. The relationship began to blossom when Kathleen hired him to cut her grass. Unfortunately, over the past few years, the police had been called to the residence on reports of domestic violence. On more than one occasion, Kathleen had Monte forcibly removed from her home – only to take him back time and time again. The dangerous relationship came to an end on July 18th when Monte sexually assaulted Kathleen. He didn’t just rape her, he violently raped her with some type of object, severely damaging her spleen in the process. (I don’t know about you, but that makes my innards hurt just thinking about it). After the attack on the 18th, Kathleen managed to escape the home she shared with the asshole and seek help from a neighbor. Over the course of the month, Kathleen was unable to recover from the ruptured spleen and her condition slowly degraded- she died Wednesday night. Initially charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, rape, criminal deviate conduct, and resisting law enforcement, he is now looking at a murder charge pending the autopsy results. Monte Ayres is currently behind bars on $200,000 bond. For the life of me, I could not imagine surviving 80 years on this planet only to go out like that. Sad…

That poor lady. I do wonder what the circumstances of this relationship were (beyond the obvious sad facts here of course). For instance, was she stable mentally or did she maybe have some dementia or Alzheimer’s? Did she really actively accept him back over and over, or did he take advantage of possible dementia and age-related weaknesses to come back again and again whenever she would have him removed? Did she have any sort of advocates such as family who may have failed in assisting her?

Or is none of the above true, and she is as dysfunctional as the younger women we read about here every day, the ones who are ignorant and believe that this is a normal relationship? I like to think of a very sweet, older lady when I think of an 80-year-old, but really, it’s not so far fetched to think that perhaps she has always been in abusive and dysfunctional relationships, no more wiser than the typical women we read about all day here who seem to be strangely blind to their ignorance. After all, the 20 to 30-year-old woman we read about today who is too busy drinking to notice the fact that her dick is beating the crap out of her kids and her will be 80 one day too. And no age marker immediately provides wisdom or maturity.

Still, I would NEVER try to say that anyone ‘deserves’ this treatment, even if she begged him every day to brutalize her. I hope that this puts him into prison for a very long time. Someone may very well rape his spleen to death.

He probably did other things for her around the house and she came to depend on him and felt she needed him. Poor woman – there are worse situations than being alone.

Why didn’t she receive a spenectomy? Her age?

Rest in Peace, Kathleen! I pray Ayres gets a whole lot of what he gave!

Did I miss this, but was she rich or something? I mean a 45 year old man with an 80 year old woman? Horrible for her though, man to have that happen and then agonize over it for a while, then finally die…so cruel!

pro’s and con’s she don’t have to pay him to do things around the house, he found him a new home for maybe some neck rubs leg massages – became drinking pals – lonely souls.

I have a handyman, my next door neighbors also single has her own *smiles*

I have a good friend that does odd jobs for older people. Usually one of his friends elderly parents or his parents, neightbors. He don’t ask for much money either, I argure with him he is too cheap. Some people believe that good deeds come back in trifold. These older people don’t have dementia. Alot of them still have faith in the human kindness, thankful they have someone to talk with, someone to cook dinner, breakfast for. For some they think they are getting a bargin so they call on you often.

If you need a place to stay they have formed trust and friendship. When they can no longer drive they may sign over title to their car so you will run them on errands or to the doctor. besides free rent they may buy your beer, supply your weed habit- and their is an added bonus -if they have no children of their own.

One of my clients at work, works for an agency they bonded with her – she thought they were dirt poor, later they explained it was a test to make sure she was there for the right reasons and not greed. After several months (10-14) Their attorney called her and asked her to stop by to sign some paperwork. She was shocked to find out they changed their will to leave her everything. including the $300,000 in the bank account.
