Roberto Carranza Was Having A Party

San Juan Bautista, CA- Last Friday, a 40-year old woman went to Carranza’s trailer for a party she had been invited to. When the party ended, Carranza refused to take the woman home because the sick and evil bastard had a more sinister party in mind. Carranza tied the woman up in duct tape and chicken wire and proceeded to rape her numerous times over the weekend. Even though there were many residents living in the area, no one could hear the woman’s torture because she happens to be deaf and mute. I cannot imagine the sheer terror and agony that asshole put her through. It was when Carranza finally left for work on Monday morning that the woman was able to escape his trailer of terror.  The woman was found still bound in duct tape and chicken wire while walking along a highway and she was taken to the Watsonville Police Department. Carranza has been charged with rape, false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon. He is expected to be arraigned Friday. Deputies are investigating whether Carranza’s roommate was involved in the rape, but he currently cannot be found.

    She was deaf and mute…nice, again what is with taking advantage of disabled people. I’m so glad she was able to escape, who knows what he would of ended up doing….

    Prosecutors on Friday charged Roberto Cavillo – a Mexican citizen originally booked under his alias, Roberto Carranza – with a total of 14 felony counts and another misdemeanor alleging possession of paraphernalia. Six counts allege rape by force or fear. Another three counts allege rape in concert with force or violence.

    How sad for this poor lady. I cannot imagine how terrified she was not being able to scream. And how bizarre that this prick enjoyed that kind of torture. Right on for the girl getting’ away! Poor thing.

    Sadly, the disabled are frequently targets, being deemed “easy prey”, which makes me sicker than normal. This poor woman may be deaf and mute, but I hope she finds the strength to tell her story and make sure this POS is put away for good. He should never see the light of day again, but we all know how that goes… I’ll be anxious to see what he gets as a sentence. Praying the system gets this one right!

    Okay Im not trying to be funny but why the hell would a person who’s deaf and mute go to a party??? they won’t or can’t talk to anyone or hear anything ( unless others attending had the same disabilities). And why would she go by herself in that case, you would think she had a PCA or someone who supervised her (caring family members, friends)….sometimes pepole put themself in a position to get taken advantaged of…..I mean come on… horny man at party + deaf, mute woman alone at party = RAPE

    I hope you are not of the opinion that disabled people should be locked away out of our sight so as not to disturb our “normal” sensibilities and offend with their strangeness? It sounded a lot like you were blaming the vicitim (and her caring family member, friends) for what happened in the above, but I am going to blame that on the format: Comments on a website lend themselves better to the inflamatory statement, even when it was not intended.

    It is perfectly likely that “Roberto Carranza” as we now know he is not, told the victim (and her caring family, friends) that there would be many people at the party. Perhaps there were many people at the party? Perhaps some of them – besides the victim – could sign? Perhaps he had promised to drive her home after the party? Nobody would expect him to drive her home before the other party-goers had left, would they?

    I can think of a number of plausible situations that would lead to his victim being finally in his power, and not one of them requires any particular stupidity or negligence on the part of the victim (or her caring family, friends) just a deftness at manipulation by the perpetrator of this crime; and if he had even the police, with all their resources, believing he was someone he was not at time of booking, I do not think we should be blaming his acquaintances for not realising what a monster he is.

    Something is amiss here. I am hard of hearing, and I am a student at Gallaudet University. Let me tell you, deaf people make a LOT of noise. It is HIGHLY unusual for a deaf person to be incapable of making sound. Sure, many are unable to speak intelligibly, but they can definitely scream. I suspect she was rendered incapable of making noise by the guy who tortured her – a gag or something like that. The idea that deaf people are mute is a serious misconception; although it is possible this woman happened to have a problem with her vocal cords that kept her from speaking, it is unusual enough that I am suspicious.

    Also, jesus christ mzkea, deaf people don’t need supervision or PCAs. We are perfectly normal in every way except hearing. The mental capacity of deaf people is equivalent to everyone else’s. What a horrible thought. Supervision?!

    First off Im only going by what the story entails and not by your personal opinion of what “likely happend”. SECOND when did I say that people with disabilities need to be locked away?….Im not blaming anyone but the perpatrator and any friends,family,or anyone els who would let an indivdual go to a pary by themself knowing that the person cannot hear or talk, but in no way did she ever deserve to be raped or taken advantage of.

    Now if she went on her own free will and did not tell anyone yeah I can see it happening, but for no one to have even reported her missing is hard to believe since I have a hard time beleving that someone who is both death and mute can live independantly without any assistnace or simpley having someone (family,friends) not check on her FOR DAYS and realize she was gone is quite hard too swallow.
