Along the lines of what Athena said, I think they don’t care about the children they are about to bring into the world when they knowingly pick an abusive criminal, fuckwad, child abuser, etc etc. I think it’s more a self-centered thing. They’re more thinking of keeping the penis than what they are possibly subjecting their future children to.

I agree with you about mothers choosing a penis over their kids, we see it time and time again on this site with tragic results. I suppose this particular story didn’t strike me that way straight off. This is one where I would have to hear a bit more before I’m ready to burn her at the stake. I’m originally from the South, so I have heard people say stuff just like that in regards to abortion more than I can say, LOL. Sorry if I took it the wrong way.

Honestly, I don’t even think we’re in disagreement to a large degree, just over how culpable the mother actually is. However, you are taking a rather adversarial tone with me. I’m not really sure why you feel the need to try and not-so-subtly put me down by not-so-subtly suggesting that I register on the LOW end of the “personal responsibility scale” because we have what amounts to a partial disagreement on this. I also noticed you attempted to bait me on abortion, not sure why, but I’m not biting. I think issue is probably better left to the forums. I will say one thing, though — I think to equate abortion with the hell inflicted upon already-born children we read about on DD is, to say the least, highly misguided.

Athena alluded to, I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt because of the way she reacted to this latest episode. That may change if more comes out.
